Managed Mobility
The first ever study of how better connectivity could help Britain’s
economy found that it could boost our annual productivity by £30 billion.
That equates to 178 productive hours that could be gained per employee,
per year*. Simply by giving people access to the information, expertise and
support they need, regardless of whether or not they’re in the office.
Protect your data
By defining policies and implementing a robust Mobile Device Management solution, and applying network access controls.
Increase employee agility and productivity
By giving your people the freedom to do it all on any device, wherever they can access the internet.Reduce costs
By improving employee productivity and careful management of data use, appropriate use of devices and consolidation of contracts.
*Smarter Working Britain. Findings are based on a survey of 1000 middle-managers from organisations with 250+ employees across the private and public sectors. The survey was conducted by Opinium between 22nd November 2013 and 6th December 2013 on behalf of Cebr and O2.

A closer look at
our Managed
Mobility offering
Mobility and device strategyWhat devices are people currently using to access your network? Do you/should you implement a bring-your-own or choose-bring-your-own policy? Will you supply devices? If so, should you choose smartphones, tablets or both? And which operating system is best?
Mobile Device Management Platform
Once you know how you’ll manage devices, you need to consider the data stored on them. How will updates be deployed? How will you distribute corporate content like user manuals and health and safety information? How will company data be protected if a device is lost or stolen? How will you keep on top of costs as more people upload and download content remotely?
Managed access to corporate networks
It’s not just the devices you need to protect, your organisation’s data is also under threat as it travels across the network. And as more people use the network from remote locations, its performance and pervasiveness could suffer.
Mobile applications
We’ll provide off-the-shelf or bespoke apps, for any operating system. Our cloud-based Mobile Application Platform simplifies the development and deployment of mobile apps.
We believe that there are four key steps in the transformation process:

We combine our knowledge, skills and experience with products and services from best-of-breed suppliers. In a rapidly changing world, we’ll help you find new ways to work smarter and engage better with your customers.
Secure. Our mobile device management solutions cover all standard devices and platforms. You don’t need separate management for different operating systems. We can do remote wipe, mobile application management, and quick and effective user authentication.
Reliable. Our origins are mobile – it’s at our core. We live our technology and our proposition every day, with our fully integrated approach to flexible working, based on choice, effectiveness and a robust approach to security and control. We’ve won Best Network Operator award at the Mobile News Awards in 2013, and we’re the least complained-about mobile operator in the UK, a level that we’ve maintained since October 2010.
Straightforward. You can build apps that adapt and scale with their needs, no matter what devices your people want to use. Our mobile application platform is a cloud-based service that makes it easy for developers to build apps that run on different operating systems. Providing faster, cheaper roll-out, lower support costs and easier, quicker responses to changing organisational needs.
It’s valuable. Our implementation, service wrap, pricing and billing experience are all there to make life easier for you.
We’ll support you all the way
You get one account team to support you throughout the process. And our team of specialists and project managers will make sure your managed mobility solution is going the way you want it to.
How Managed Mobility helped
TfL rise to the Olympic challenge
To keep things running smoothly during the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Transport for London issued 4000 iPads to its customer-facing staff across London. It was part of a programme to ensure that employees could serve as informed and helpful advisors to the millions of people making their way across the transport network. The iPads were equipped with standard apps for navigation, travel information and translation.Network Rail empowers
front-line workers
We helped Network Rail give its people access to up-to-date, usable information (even when they’re trackside) via smartphones and tablets. Now front-line workers are more productive. They can capture information digitally and process it centrally, to predict and prevent problems, and find and fix faults faster.
