High Availability Concepts
Storage – Built-In Replication
Usage of two storage systems with built-in replication :
PBS ContentLink writes to one storage only. Replication is controlled by the storage system itself.

ContentLink: Software-based Replication
Usage of two storage systems without built-in replication :
PBS ContentLink writes in parallel to both storage systems. Write failure activates a "storage maintenance mode". Replication is performed later, when both systems are online again.
