What is “Port Logistics Public Platform”

 Port Logistics Public Platform is an electronic platform to provide

information flows to maritime transport, air transport, railway and highway, trade and logistics companies, and government

regulatory agencies.

 It aims to improve efficiency port and port communities, to provide

excellent service and to promote business.

 To provide ports users a window accessing to port system to

collect and deliver operation information.

 A B2B information channel.

Single window is a facility which enables

trade and transport-related users to

submit standardized information and files within a single entrance which can meet all regulatory requirements in terms of import, export and transshipment. Only one submission is needed for each data if the information is electronic.

TradeNet Clearance System

 In 1988, Singapore’s government decided to found a Special Purpose Vehicle to design, develop, promote and operate this national clearance system.

 Singapore Network Service Co., Ltd. (now renamed the SNS Co. Ltd.) was held and funded by shareholders from four government agencies(called semi official institution in Singapore):

 Singapore Trade Development Board (Singapore International Enterprise Development Council now) - 55%

 Singapore Civil Aviation Authority - 15%

 Singapore Port Authority (Owned by Singapore Port Group after separation of government and enterprise)- 15%

 Singapore Telecom Bureau (Owned by Singapore Port Group after separation of government and enterprise) - 15%

 The company began to generate profit since its second year of operation.

• PSA Corporation aims to further improve the efficiency if Singapore port community using more information technologies.
