We are perched on the foot of our charming neighbourhood of Keong Saik Road, on a row of five amalgamated classic heritage
shophouses in a former 1920s biscuit factory. The beauty of our
space, juxtaposed against the skyscrapers towering over our neighbourhood, resembles the sense of purpose that transformed Singapore from a humble community, to the
cosmopolitan city it is today.
We aim to bring together every worker in our neighbourhood; from the aunty and uncle who pour our morning kopi, the priests who sing their midday prayers, to the bartenders who pour our drinks into the evening; all to do their best work, by pampering an ideal community for our most productive hours and the trimly instances of
social reinforcement.

The Commons at The Working Capitol is a relaxed and welcoming space, suitable for intimate social gatherings and larger corporate functions or all day workshops. The sun’s rays ooze into the space through our purposefully built skylight, and our terrace area allow you to soak in the great outdoors while taking in the Bukit Pasoh shophouse skyline.

Our Meeting Rooms tailor to meetings and discussions of different sizes; 4 pax, 6 pax, or 8 pax. Separated from the Reception area of The Working Capitol by frosted glass and soundproof walls, you bask in the privacy that your ideas deserve, but are never detached from the hustle, bustle, and purpose that linger in the corridors of our space.
All you'll need
Internet access, phone line, presentation TV are the least of what your meetings will enjoy, with the pantry and reception within reach just outside of your meeting room doors.

Can I bring my own alcohol or use my own caterer?
This is allowed, but do note that a corkage fee of $5/pax will be attached for external catering, and another
$5/pax for external alcohol. Therefore, a total of $10/pax in addition to venue hire charges should you source all F&B options externally.
How much time should I allow for my vendors to set-up and tear-down?
This will really depend on your event, and is a great conversation to have with our Events Manager - they will be well equipped to give you a proper answer on this.
Is your building wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, due to our vintage shophouse environment, we are not. Our friendly staff are ever on hand to provide any assistance necessary though, of course!
Do you have any round tables?
We do not but should you require them or any other types of specific furniture. We’ll reach out to our trusted partners and get you a quote ASAP.
Can I get a tour of The Working Capitol before/during/after my event?
Yes! We love to play host! Just let our Events Manager know of this request and we’ll arrange something accordingly. We can even have someone speak at your event should you require it!
Cancellation policy?
Any cancellation made less than 21 working days before the event date shall incur 50% of the total booking value.
Payment policy?
Total booking value should be paid no later than 7 days before the event or immediately if within 7 days of the event. Any outstanding charges are to be settled on site before departure. Note: Credit Card admin charges of 2.5% will be imposed upon the Organizer.
