Quality and Process Control Plan Vehicle Build Checklist

Initial:

____ All items removed from vehicle (wall panels, headliner, jack, seats, seat belts/retractors, etc. will be placed in a holding area specific to that VIN

#. All parts which are removed must be protected from damage and re- installed into the same VIN # from which they were removed.

____ Seat belt retractors, whether removed or remaining in vehicle must be completely sealed to prevent debris intrusion

____ No drilling can be done thru boron steel components

____ All drilled holes must be treated against rust / corrosion prior to floor installation.

____ All rust proofing must not be applied within 12” of any exhaust component, on the drive shaft, or emergency brake cables

____ All hardware used for floor installation must be Grade 8 or better.

Hardware must also be treated for corrosion resistance (zinc, yellow zinc, zinc chromate, etc.)

____ Special 2” Outside Diameter, thru hardened flat washer must be used on bottom side whenever possible

____ All debris must be removed (swept, air pressure, vacuumed) prior to floor installation.

All drilling thru floor must adhere strictly to the drilling pattern as shown on the floor plan and lift template specific to the vehicle being up-fi8ed.

Fuel Tank must be removed or lowered suﬀiciently to prevent damage.

All fasteners used above fuel tank or other fuel system components must be installed to “point away” from the fuel system. Fasteners in this area will be bu>on head, truss head, modified truss head, or other rounded type head (no sharp edges or corners).

____ All wiring modifications must be made according to pertinent diagram(s).

All wiring must be completed using “best practices” (soldered

connections, shrink tube, appropriate wire gage, protection of the wires (such as looms and/or grommets) from cuts or abrasions. All wire gage sizes and circuit protection (fuses, circuit breakers etc.) must be properly sized.

____ Finished vehicle must have a pre-delivery service and check performed by a dealer or factory authorized agent. Included items of review will be headlight and front wheel alignment, lug nut torque and any other items specified by the vehicle OEM.

 Supplier control: The Contractor shall require that each Supplier maintains a quality control program for the services and supplies that it provides. The Contractor’s quality assurance organization shall inspect and test materials provided by Suppliers for conformance to

specification requirements. Materials that have been inspected, tested and approved shall be identified as acceptable to the point of use in the manufacturing or assembly processes.

Controls shall be established to prevent inadvertent use of nonconforming materials.

o MSV confirms supplier’s specs for each part ordered prior to ordering o Inspection for damages of parts is done when each part is received

o If there are any damages, the part is red tagged and pulled offline (see non‐conforming materials below)

o See the following pages for process control documents, per Line Item, for RFP 20‐01

 Purchasing data: The Contractor shall verify that all applicable specification requirements are properly included or referenced in purchase orders of articles to be used on transit buses

o See the following pages for the van order form that was created to bid RFP 20‐01 which is also used for placing parts orders
