BLESSED TRINITY

CATHOLIC PARISH

Roxbury - Rockaway Point - Breezy Point

Saint Rita of Cascia

“When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place

together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong

driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then

there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to

rest on each one of them. And they were all filled with the holy Spirit

and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to

BLESSED TRINITY MISSION STATEMENT

Washed by the waters of the sea and blessed with generations of faithful worship we, a trinity of churches: Saint Edmund, Saint Genevieve and Saint Thomas More, stand united in our mission. To embrace the presence of Christ in our community and strive to assist all to deepen their relationship with the Lord. To

seek to be a parish of service and comfort to all. To commit ourselves to be a vessel through which our Catholic heritage and traditions may be preserved and grow so that our parish may flourish in the Spirit of

the Lord.

Our last day of Religion classes for the 2020-2021 school year was May 17th.

I would like to thank all the catechists for their dedication and adapting to the changes made throughout the year.

I would like to thank the parents for their patience this year as we navigated a new online program and the changes to their schedules.

Finally I would like to thank the students for their participation in our school this year. They started out learning with a new online program and when we were able to meet in-person they attended class

enthusiastically.

I look forward to seeing everyone next academic year. Have a great summer.

Whenever I pass the parish church, I always stop for a visit, for fear that when I’m carried there,

the Lord might say who is it?

A poem told to me by Father Perry as we reflect on life returning to pre -covid times... It is a reminder to all, especially as the summer sets-in, the time has come for everyone to

return to church. Even if Mass is still uncomfortable for

some and those who are not vaccinated, the churches are open for private prayer. St. Thomas More (8am-3pm), St. Genevieve (8am-3pm) and St. Edmunds will soon be open each day with similar hours once confirmed.

Also prepare to join the Corpus Christi Procession with the Blessed Sacrament on Sunday, June 6th in the afternoon as we publicly give witness to the Lord truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. Details to follow next week.
