ROSTER MOVES—Following yesterday's game, the Rays acquired RH JT Chargois (SHA-gwah) and minor league INF Austin Shenton from Seattle for RH Diego Castillo…Chargois, who is active tonight and will wear #84, went 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA (30-IP, 10-ER) in 31 apps for the Mariners this season, including a run of eight consecutive scoreless apps snapped in his most recent outing…Shenton hit .300/.414/.566 (80-for-267) with 29 2B, 12 HR and 61 RBI in 67 games between the High-A and Double-A levels.
Ê The Rays acquired RH Shawn Armstrong, who has made 142 apps over seven major league seasons, from the Orioles for cash…he was outrighted by Baltimore June 11 and is not on the 40-man roster.

RAY MATTER—Last night the Rays snapped a 3-game losing streak with a 14-0 win over the Yankees, the largest shutout win in club history and their largest margin of victory since Aug 16, 2016 vs. SD (15-1)…the Rays are 6-3 with a +29 run differential (57-28) in their last 9 games, 8-5 since the All-Star break and 14-6 since July 4, the best record in the majors over that stretch…last night the Rays gained a game on the Red Sox in the division, improving to 1½ GB with 13 games left in the season series…the Rays are 61-42 this season, 3rd in the AL behind the Astros and Red Sox.
Ê The Rays are 48-27 since May 2, best mark in the AL since then.
