0.1 The Purpose of this Task Methodology is to ensure a detail control, set correct practices for the scaolding works through the general and specic procedures contained herein and dene the procedure of the scaolding works for the painting of LNG storage tanks and associated piping at Qatar Gas Onshore !pansion Pro"ect as per #$#, %T&', Qatar Gas specications and QG ## (caolding %odes of Practices)
1.0 SCOPE OF WORK
1.1 This docu*ent co+ers the procedures to e co*plied with for the erection, inspection and dis*antling of scaolding works necessary to gain access, where (urface Preparation and Painting works are to e carried out at staircase and e*ergency ladder cage area Qatar Gas ## LNG (torage tanks and associated piping for the Qatar Gas Onshore !pansion Pro"ect, -as Laan, Qatar in strict accordance with %lient re.uire*ents and /( 0123 4 %ode of practices)

5.0 RESPONSIBILITIES

(caolds shall e erected, *odied or dis*antled only y .ualied scaold personnel)
8ll such .ualied work*en shall operate under the control of a .ualied super+isor)
Prior to the starting of any erection, *odication or dis*antling acti+ity the location shall e arricaded with warning tape and sign oards placed)
The erection, *odication or dis*antling of scaolding shall e in line with /(0123 %ode of practices, Technical Manual, Qatar Gas<%T&'<#$# specication and pro"ect re.uire*ents)
5here+er possile, erecting or dis*antling the scaold will work fro* *ini*u* of a three oard run) #t is not acceptale for scaolders to e perched on tues, unless a fall arrest de+ice is pro+ided and secured to a suitale ao+e head height anchorage point at all ti*es)
Ladders will e properly lashed throughout the +ertical height of a scaold as it progresses) recting the scaold will use the ladders to gain access to the working le+els)
Tues or oards eing used in the construction of the scaold will e stored at in a neat and tidy *anner) They will not e stacked +ertically against the scaold) Material will not ostruct access< egress)
Loose tues, clips or oards will not e left on a scaolding after its co*pletion)
5here (caolders are erecting a slung or cantile+ered section or crawling around on a pipe ridge or other structural steelwork they will, in all instances where there is a possiility of falling *ore than = *etres, wear a full ody safety harness and life line which will e hooked o at all ti*es ao+e head height)
5here a scaold is left in an inco*plete state, the otto* ladder will e re*o+ed and a notice will e secured to the lower lift stating H6anger #nco*plete (caold Deep OI)
5here one section of a working platfor* is inco*plete, access *ay e gained to the co*pleted section pro+ided that a stop end, pre+enting entry, is placed o+er the working platfor* at guard7rail height) 8 notice stating H6anger #nco*plete (caold Deep OI will e secured to the stop end) This notice will e in the appropriate languages)
