PIn Change – This service allows you to change your personal identification number (PIN). A PIN is used to access Remote Access to Call Forwarding and to deactivate Call Blocking.
The default access code for this service is as follows:
• To access the PIN change service, press *319
After dialing the access code, to change the PIN from the handset:
• When prompted, enter your current PIN
• If the current PIN is correct, your are prompted to enter a new four-digit PIN (The value 0000 is not valid)
• An announcement confirms the new four-digit PIN
Caller Id – This service displays the name of the incoming caller on your telephone, if your phone has a Caller Display screen or Caller Display unit.
Call Waiting – This service notifies you that a second call is on the line and allows you to switch between the calls. You are notified by a tone when a call is waiting. Press flash to swap between calls. To disable call waiting on a per call basis, dial *70 and then dial your number as usual.
Call Waiting w/Caller Id – This service displays the calling number and/or the calling name (depending on whether you have Calling Number Delivery and/or Calling Name Delivery enabled) as part of the notification that there’s a second call on the line.
Speed Calling – This service allows one-digit or two-digit codes to be used as shortcuts for selected phone numbers. Once the assigned code is entered, it automatically dials the phone number. Speed calling short codes may map to:
• Numbers in any format (such as 1 - 10 digits, 0 + 10 digits, 10 digits, 1 + 7 digits, 0 + 7 digits, 7 digits) • Any access codes, such as *72

a short code can map to either *72 access code or
a particular phone number, but it cannot map to *72 followed by the phone number.
The short codes have a one-digit range and a two-digit range. The defaults are 2-9 and 20-49 respectively.
• To use speed calling, dial the short code and then either dial # or wait four seconds
• To configure one-digit speed calling, press *74
• To configure two-digit speed calling, press *75 To add a short code mapping through the handset:
• Dial the one- or two-digit access code (*74 and *75 respectively).
• Enter the one-digit or two-digit short code, followed immediately by the number to which the short code maps.
• A confirmation tone is played, then after a second of silence, either the recorder tone or dial tone is played.
enhanced 9-1-1 service (e-9-1-1) – With Enhanced 9-1-1 your telephone number is automatically routed to the appropriate Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for your address. The caller’s address and information is displayed to the Public Safety dispatcher immediately upon receipt of the call. E-9-1-1 provides emergency responders with the location of the emergency without the person calling for help having to provide it. This is a valuable service in an emergency should communicating one’s location be difficult or impossible.

These services apply to calls that are not answered on your telephone and are forwarded to another number. They include Selective Call Forwarding, Busy Call Forwarding, and Unconditional Call Forwarding.
Selective Call Forwarding – This service allows you to select a list of calling numbers whose calls will automatically be forwarded. To configure SCF via the Screen List Editing menu, press *63 and follow the voice prompts.

Call hold – This service allows you to put a call on hold and then dial another number. You can then switch back to the first call (putting the new call on hold), and switch between the two callers.
To put the current call on hold so that you can dial a second number:
• Hit flash-hook
• Dial *52
• Dial Second Number
• You can hit flash-hook again to switch back to the first call (putting second call on hold), and again to switch between the two numbers.
anonymous Call rejection – This service automatically rejects all calls from withheld numbers.

3-Way Calling – This service allows you to call another party during an existing call and add this party to the call, creating a three-way conversation.
To add a third party to an active call, flash-hook and then dial the third party’s number. If the third party answers, flash-hook again to add both of you to the original call, connecting all three parties. If the third party does not answer or their line is busy, flash-hook twice to rejoin the original call.
Priority Call – This service allows users to select a list of numbers from which incoming calls will ring a distinctive tone. To configure the service through the handset, dial the access code, which takes you into the Screen List Editing menu system.
The standard access code for this service is as follows:
• To configure Priority Call via the Screen List Editing menu, press *61
distinct ring (teen Line) – This service allows you to have up to three additional directory numbers while retaining only one physical line. Calls to the additional numbers go through to the existing phone line, but have a distinctive ring tone for each number. This service includes one additional line, but can add up to two more lines for $4 each per month. To activate the service, call 704-660-3840.

By default, the number of retries made if the line is busy is set to 1, and the retry interval is set to 1 minute.
toll restriction (Call blocking) – This service allows you to block outgoing calls of certain types of numbers from your line. The types of calls that can be blocked are:
• International calls
• Operator calls
• Calls to any call service access codes
Note that when access calls to access codes have been blocked, users can still enter the codes to disable access code blocking and to check call blocking status.
Certain types of calls are never blocked. These are:
• Toll-free calls
• Calls to service access codes
• Emergency calls
To activate blocking for a certain type of call through the handset:
• Dial the appropriate access code
• An announcement confirms that call blocking has been activated
To deactivate blocking for a certain type of call through the handset:
• Dial the appropriate access code
• An announcement prompts you to enter your PIN code
• Enter your PIN code
• An announcement confirms that call blocking has been deactivated
The default access codes for this service are as follows: To enable call blocking:
• All calls except emergency calls, press *341
• International calls, press *343
• Operator calls, press *344

Call blocking takes priority over all other call services, including:
• Any type of call forwarding
