Dear SCORE Partners and Supporters,

As I reflect on Philippians 1:3 which says,

“I thank my God upon every

remembrance of you

”,

I am reminded to continually pray for you, our SCORE

family and partners. While we may be in challenging times, I encourage you to take

a step back and view these days through an eternal lens. The Lord has uniquely

called and equipped you to be light in an ever-growing dark world. Our charge from

1 Peter 3:15 is to

“sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always ready to make

a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is

in you, yet with gentleness and reverence.

God has placed us here, in this time

of history, to be His ambassadors for the Gospel. We are grateful for this

opportunity!

I was so encouraged to participate in SCORE’s first-ever virtual staff retreat held

last month. It was such a blessing to hear reports from our Field Directors

(2)

As I sat in my office after the retreat, I paused to give thanks to my God. Even

though we have not hosted an international mission team since March 12, 2020,

and only two domestic trips this summer, I am truly thankful and humbled how the

Lord has graciously sustained this ministry. I do not know, nor do I need to know,

how He will continue to provide, but I do feel led to make you aware of SCORE’s

financial needs at this time.

First, we desperately desire your prayers. Please pray for our international

missionaries, our domestic missionaries, and home office staff as they continue to

be engaged in Kingdom work every day. Pray that they will be encouraged and

strengthened during this time. Pray against any anxiety or depression. Also,

prayerfully consider participating in meeting their financial needs by initiating or

increasing support.

Next, we ask that you pray for the operating expenses of this ministry. We

have had to lay off staff in the U.S., Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica. Pray

specifically for the general needs of the ministry to be met. Additionally, please

pray whether the Lord would want you to begin partnering financially with SCORE,

or to increase your partnership amount if you are already currently giving.

Finally, I want to thank you for staying united with us as we continue to carry

out the Great Commission together. As ambassadors for Christ, may we remain

engaged and encouraged! May God continue to richly bless you!

With Thanksgiving!

John Zeller
