Export

Your current provider should give you an option to export your lists as Excel files.

Export these and save them as .CSV files by using the drop down menu options in ‘save as’ on your computer.

Alternatively, if you use a CRM system, export them from there in the same way.

(10)

Import

Log into little green plane. Go to ‘contacts’ in the top navigation. Click ‘create a new contacts list’. Name the folder. If you have pages on your website to greet subscribers or give a farewell message to unsubscribers you can link them here.

Click ‘create list’. You will now see your list in ‘manage contacts’. Currently you will see you have no contacts. Click on the pencil next to your list name to add people to the list.

Click ‘import subscribers’ and select the file you wish to upload. You have to certify that this is an opt-in list, which means your subscribers are happy to receive emails from you. You cannot upload role-based emails such as info@.

(11)

You can easily transfer your existing email templates into little green plane.

Simply log-in to your existing provider’s account, open a template that you want to transfer and view it in the code or HTML view. Copy and paste the code. Log-in to your little green plane account and click through the options to create a campaign Step-by-Step. Open the editor. Click the HTML view tab at the bottom and paste in the code.

All you need to do now is upload your image files from your existing provider into little green plane.

You can do this using the little green plane image manager in the editor. Just browse for your images and upload.

You will also need to change the plain text. In the little green plane email checklist, choose the plain text option and click ‘load from HTML source’.

(12)

If you have been using sign-up forms on your website provided by your previous email marketing partner, you will need to update these so they sync with your new little green plane account.

Luckily, we give you free sign-up forms as a valued little green plane customer.

To set these up, simply log-in to your account, and click ‘contacts’. Select the contact list that you want the details that your form collects to go into and click the pencil icon next to it. You will see on the right hand column an option to ‘generate sign-up’.

You will then be presented with a list of optional data fields that you can choose from to make up your form.

Once you have chosen your fields, click ‘continue’. The code that you need to put into your website will be generated, along with an example form. If you need your email campaigns to integrate with your CRM system, simply call us on 0845 862 0144 or email [email protected]

(13)

Changing your settings

The final part of your changeover is ensuring your company details and account settings are correct before you start sending. These will be included in the footer and inclusion is a legal requirement. Log-in to your little green plane account. Using the top navigation bar, click ‘settings’.

On the right-hand menu you will see a range of options. The most important two for this purpose are ‘company details’ and ‘add users’.

In ‘company details’ you will need to complete your business address, company registration number (if you have one) and contact details.
