Bridgit® 4.6 software

About these release notes

These release notes summarize the features and requirements of Bridgit® 4.6 software and updates to resolved issues.

Product information

Bridgit conferencing software is a cost-effective client/server application that lets you easily schedule meetings and connect, share and collaborate with local and remote participants anytime, anywhere, using your computer or SMART interactive product. It’s a highly secure, multi-functional data, voice and webcam video collaboration solution that connects meeting rooms, local teams and remote meeting participants with extraordinary simplicity. Use the SMART Scheduler option to create meetings in Microsoft® Outlook® that automatically start on a specified Bridgit server. Bridgit software supports private local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) installations as well as public deployment scenarios that use a fully qualified domain name via the Internet. Bridgit software is also available in a SMART Bridgit conferencing app for iPad, designed specifically to provide iPad users with remote connectivity to a SMART Bridgit meeting.

About this release

Bridgit 4.6 software improves participants’ collaboration experience by increasing the number of shared webcams to nine per meeting and increasing the number of open microphones to nine per meeting. The improvements to webcam sharing also include higher resolution and frame rate. Bridgit 4.6 software also supports virtualization on VMware® vSphere™ ESX™ Hypervisor 4.1, which enables customers to deploy on virtualized servers.
