High Quality Video Transmission

Controlware provides reliable and flexible transmission solutions for analogue systems or new IP surveillance networks. The solutions include a range of video codecs and IP cameras that enable users to benefit from the latest transmission technologies.

Highly flexible IP codecs are ideal for users with existing analogue systems that want to benefit from IP technology. Codecs are able to upgrade analogue systems by converting the video output from an analogue camera or matrix to IP for transport across the LAN, WAN or Internet while providing DVD picture quality with high-resolutions and fast frame rates. Features such as dual streaming that allow video recording and viewing at different frame rates and advanced MPEG based compression technology help to deliver bandwidth efficient surveillance.

IP cameras are available in standard or high sensitivity versions for low light conditions and are able to provide video transmission over analogue or IP networks.

Controlware’s transmission solutions support integration with existing equipment such as all popular PTZ cameras, domes, and multiplexers. The wide range of available solutions, functionalities and features enables us to precisely meet your transmission requirements.

High quality MPEG-2/4 video compression Support of single or multiple video inputs Video resolutions from QCIF, CIF, 2CIF, 4CIF, D1 Optional full duplex audio

Alarm inputs, relay outputs and serial data ports Local recording options

Intelligent bandwidth control from 7kbs to 15Mbs Dual encoding

Multiple levels of user security Fiber optic transmission available

Scalable Recording and Storage

Controlware’s recording and storage solutions can be integrated into management and intelligent video analysis platforms and transmission codecs. Flexible recording and storage options enable solutions to be customized to exact users requirements allowing archive video to be instantly reviewed on demand and intelligent analytics applied to recorded video, reducing operator workload and monitoring costs.

The use of Network Video Recording (NVR) technology enables the creation of high-density and scalable storage solutions. Fail-over management and redundant recording ensures that recorded video is not lost even in the event of network downtime. By employing off-the-shelf PC-server and RAID storage devices price and performance is dramatically improved over conventional Digital Video Recorders (DVR). There are no storage capacity limitations, more NVR capacity can be added as the surveillance network evolves allowing any PC connected to the network to access live or recorded video at anytime.

Networked Attached Storage (NAS) and Storage Area Networks (SAN) allow video storage capacity to increase guaranteeing solutions and storage requirements are completely future-proofed. Network resilience and access to video data is also assured and secured through off-site storage and disaster recovery networks.

Real-time Video Content Analysis

Controlware’s intelligent video analysis solutions increase the efficiency of video surveillance by providing automated responses to various scenarios, reducing operator workload as well as monitoring costs.

Video streams are monitored to determine activities, events, or behaviors that might be considered suspicious and alarms are generated when specific events, behaviors, and rules the user has applied are violated. Video analysis software automatically detects, tracks, zooms in and records all target activity from any camera without operator intervention including unattended objects, people loitering, people/objects falling, trespassing, fence climbing, vehicles speeding or stopping in restricted zones and people/vehicles moving in the wrong direction.

An intelligent search tool revolutionizes retrieval of specific information through image searches based upon time, location and alarm activity. For example, a search for all activity around a door entrance for the last 24 hours that necessitates a long manual search when using a conventional system is completed and complied into a mini compilation movie in seconds when using an intelligent video analysis system.

Intelligent video analysis solutions increase the intelligence of the surveillance network by simultaneously monitoring multiple video sources ensuring events are not missed while substantially reducing the occurrence of false alarms and incidents of human error.

Hardware to Software

Any networked PC can receive video and remotely control PTZ cameras, switches, and Digital Video Recorders. Audio capabilities, motion detection functionalities, and automatic alarm connection increase system flexibility. Digital solutions seamlessly integrate with existing analogue equipment such as cameras allowing all components to be controlled and managed via a single common network. The introduction of digital technology increases flexibility through new functionality and features and reduces costs.

Hardware to Hardware

Through the introduction of codecs to an existing analogue CCTV network, video and audio streams of any camera can be relayed back over the data network to an analogue monitor. The existing keyboards can be used to set up and cut down connections and to control cameras and peripherals e.g. matrix, Digital Video Recorders as before but flexibility is increased and costs are reduced. In addition video can be controlled and viewed by secure networked PC’s as the network evolves.

Network Recording

Based on standard PC server technology Network Video Recording enables cost-efficient mass storage of video that is able to evolve with future storage requirements simply through the addition of RAID server capacity. The location of the recording and viewing devices is also no longer an issue since video can be stored, accessed, managed and transmitted from anywhere on the network. Multiple streams of full-frame video can be recorded while multiple playback streams from the same recording are supported simultaneously. Enhanced resilience ensures that video recording is seamless and unaffected by network downtime.

Networked System

Networked solutions reduce the need for coax cabling to an absolute minimum and enable centralized management and recording via Ethernet, ISDN, or Wireless LAN. Solutions feature intelligent bandwidth allocation that ensures transmission bandwidth is controlled and your network performance is never compromised. Any system can be set-up and customized to exact user requirements without limits to flexibility and scalability. Live surveillance and camera control is achieved via any number of networked PC’s and existing analogue monitors. Network Video Recording or optional local storage allows access to playback historical/archived video recordings from any location.
