Although well behavior, market demand, and workforce numbers fluctuate, one thing remains constant—operators want to produce more

hydrocarbons at a lower cost and for longer periods of time. Only a systematic strategy that combines technology with innovative field-management solutions can unleash the full potential of your assets. Weatherford production optimization consultants collaborate with you to design integrated solutions that optimize production and increase profitability. Drawing from a comprehensive portfolio of lift equipment, a 480,000-well history of successfully implementing optimization software, and decades of collective experience, we assist you in choosing the right technologies for any asset type—including conventional, deepwater, unconventional shale, and heavy-oil sources.

After a detailed analysis of your well or field and existing infrastructure, we help to fill information gaps, to recommend software and hardware solutions, and to enhance workflows. We can develop a strategy tailored for your specific

operating conditions and production goals—whether you need to reduce costs by optimizing individual wells, to increase efficiencies by integrating field operations, or to implement a digital oilfield.

Let’s make a

GAME PLAN.

An experienced, proven partner

can help you get more for less.

Weatherford provides an unmatched breadth and depth of solutions for all key forms of artificial lift. We not only supply services and technologies to meet your artificial-lift needs but also partner with you to develop long-term optimization strategies.

Our consultants can help you choose the right lift method at the right time and adjust it throughout the life of your well—or wells. As a result, you can better meet key performance objectives, such as reducing costs per barrel, increasing production output per day, or improving the meantime between failures.

ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS

by applying our three solutions

for optimization.

You can implement our winning optimization strategies at any time during the well life cycle to meet your key performance objectives.

Well optimization

Our optimization cycle delivers ongoing improvements through many features:

• Six stages in the optimization cycle that mirror

the industry-recognized structure

• Structured approach to optimize lift—from

design to transition

• Sharp focus on reducing downtime, minimizing

decline rate, and decreasing failure frequency

• Detailed failure analysis to identify root causes • Knowledgeable consultants with in-depth

understanding of every form of artificial lift

We can help you to integrate your entire asset— from the reservoir to the wells and production facility. Our strategy involves multiple points, including managing reservoir pressure and produced water, tracking water-oil contact, and selecting and transitioning to the right form of artificial lift at the right time.

We can solve your production-related issues, such as identifying bottlenecks in the surface network and rerouting wells through different headers. We can help to create and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for your asset. And we can also develop integrated systems that combine SCADA software, mathematical models, and automated intelligent workflows.

Our digital oilfield solutions give you unprecedented power to access better data, make faster decisions, and simplify processes. We can help you implement technologies that automate routine tasks and connect your people with critical field intelligence. Our

industry-leading technology and expertise—combined with comprehensive customer-focused analyses and customized workflows—enable stronger collaboration and more effective change-management initiatives. As you streamline processes and adopt new technologies, we can recommend people-centric approaches that achieve positive organizational change and foster a collaborative work environment. Now more than ever, it pays to pursue a digital oilfield solution.

Integrated asset modeling

Digital oil field

Our digital oilfield solutions integrate all aspects of production:

• Downhole sensors • Flowmeters • Automation • Software

• Service and maintenance teams

• Health, safety, and environment management • Training and support

Our integrated asset modeling delivers the following benefits:

• Accurate production forecasting • Effective management of changes in

short-term production demands by keeping the long-term reservoir management strategy intact

• Proactive asset management by designing

the most appropriate what-if scenarios

AIM

In the asset inspection methodology (AIM) phase, our consultants work closely with operations, IT, field management, and executives to analyze current well and asset management practices, study well histories, and identify the infrastructure requirements for real-time optimization.

We use a collaborative workflow

that produces results.

Our consultants follow a KPI-based workflow that helps you to achieve your objectives. The workflow guides the optimization process with three well-defined phases:

Our consulting team consists of experts in production optimization with a strong focus on artificial lift. Team members are located in strategic areas throughout the world, including North America, the Middle East, and Latin America. Using a comprehensive production

optimization portfolio—bolstered by decades of in-depth knowledge and first-hand experience—our consultants will make recommendations that help you optimize production anywhere you operate.

Our Global Team of Consultants Offers

Gain

Sustain

Consultants perform a detailed analysis using data-analytics tools to study well histories and well-failure characteristics. Using modeling software, they develop rigorous engineering models to analyze well performance. Then, based on those detailed analyses, they prioritize optimization opportunities and recommend strategies to increase uptime, improve asset performance, and deliver your expected ROI sooner.

Consultants work to sustain and continually improve on the production gains resulting from the first two phases. They implement new production optimization technologies, fine-tune processes, and train field workers for life-of-well profitability.

To reduce the operational expenditure (OPEX) of a rod-lifted asset with a history of low mean times between failures (MTBF), our consultants monitored and optimized the wells for more than 11 months. By the end of the project, the frequency of failures had decreased by 50%, which saved the client an estimated US $5 million.

North America

For an asset of 36 wells distributed into 11 clusters, our team built well and surface network models that matched measured data and then ran several simulations. Our advisors recommended optimum sizes for all pipelines to save the client more than US $300,000.

Latin America

Our consultants used Field Office™ software to build an integrated asset model including 195 wells, 19 platforms, 3,000 flowlines, and 68 separators and scrubbers. They analyzed variables for optimizing individual wells and created scenarios for optimizing the network. Then they identified 24 wells for the installation of injection valves and 23 wells for adjustments of the injection-gas cycle. The strategic recommendations resulted in the potential for using 350 Mscf/D less gas to produce 170-BOPD more oil. Latin America

Our team developed a fully functional digital oil field. Instrumentation installed at the oil wells sent information to a central database away from the wellsite to improve health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance. Automated digital workflows—developed from best practices and routine processes—helped engineers to increase efficiency. A state-of-the-art collaboration center provided a real-time work environment for multiple production teams to make efficient decisions. Middle East
