EDITORIAL: 10 good reasons to choose Nice for your next event!

• A city that attracts excellence

Close to Sophia-Antipolis Technology Park and supported by Nice–Sophia-Antipolis University, Nice is a leading centre of scientific and medical research and the linchpin of a high-tech environment.

• An international gateway just 15 minutes from the city centre

50 airlines fly to 100 destinations in over 30 countries from Nice International Airport, located a quarter of an hour from the city centre. High-speed trains link up with Europe's main cities, and motorway connections bring you right into the city centre.

• A city between the sea and the mountains

Via the world’s leading heliport, Greater Nice is easily accessible, not only the coastal resorts of Saint Tropez, Cannes and Monaco, but also the mountain resorts and the Mercantour National Park.

In this natural environment, all seasons are ideal for incentives and original discovery itineraries.

• A cosmopolitan and multi-cultural destination

The charms of the south have been attracting visitors, residents and artists from around the globe for over a century. The city's art and culture bear witness to this: Nice has more museums and art galleries than any other city in France, apart from Paris.

• An international city on a human scale

Nice offers you all of the advantages of a friendly city. Everything is within easy reach on foot: luxury boutiques, all kinds of events, restaurants, and post-congress evening entertainment.

• Nice is a creative and lively city

A festive atmosphere reigns in Nice all year round. Over 2,000 shows and exhibitions are held each year, with Nice's Carnival, in February, attracting over a million visitors. It is the biggest winter event on the French Riviera.

• A Congress Centre at the heart of the city

Located 20 minutes from Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport, it offers a modular floor area of 30,000m² (one of the biggest in Europe) plus 5 auditoria with 250 to 2,500 seats. • Hotels near the Acropolis Congress Centre

Now, the majority of congress hotels offer very short access times from the Place Massena via the tramway to Acropolis.

• A global and customised solution

Anything can be organised here - from a congress to a seminar, from a convention to a trade show, from a product launch to an incentive event. Our quality charter ensures that you are a unique and priority client.

• Expertise, action and communication: a Convention Bureau entirely at your service

The Nice Convention Bureau and its many representatives around the globe are glad to offer you their services in assembling the components that will make your event a success. They offer free assistance and advice.

RESTAURANTS

1. Gastronomy in Nice:

Nice enjoys displaying the charm of its distinctive culture. Too often compared with Provençal and Italian cuisine, ‘Cuisine Niçoise’, like the cooking of Lyon, is identified by the name of the city.

Food in Nice reflects an art of living and respect for regional products always accompanied by tasty olive oil and aromatic plants: basil, fennel, rosemary, thyme, savory, sage, marjoram, mint, coriander, wild thyme and garlic, of course.

Typical specialities include: Salade Niçoise, pissaladière (onion tart), pan-bagnat, pistou (pesto), farcis (stuffed vegetables), stockfish, merda di can (small green

gnocchi), ratatouille, squash blossom fritters, mesclun (tangy mixed greens), Swiss chard pie, ganses (sweet fritters) and much, much more...

The French Riviera has very many restaurants with Michelin stars, but the cuisine of Nice is available for all budgets, from a sophisticated luxury setting to the picturesque streets of Old Nice, served with delectable wine from the hills of Bellet.

In recent years, great chefs have sought maximum creativity and many establishments in Nice are listed in the best gastronomy guides.

High inventive fare now highlights the wealth of regional flavours and aromas with dishes as appealing to the eyes as to the taste buds...

Some restaurants can be rented in whole or in part for private use of their establishments for up to 400 guests.

Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
