WITHDRAWAL TUITION OBLIGATION/

CHANGES OF REGISTRATION

Per federal guidelines, tuition is prorated only to students following official procedures for complete withdrawal from IWC, beyond the add/drop period. Such amount is according to a prorated schedule published in the Iowa Wesleyan Catalog.

Tuition charges are dropped only for students who officially drop credit hours during the add/drop period. Students withdrawing from a portion of their hours after the add/drop period will be charged 100% tuition and will remain eligible for any financial aid awarded for their particular enrollment.

Nonattendance does not constitute a drop or withdrawal, and the student becomes liable for full or prorated tuition charges as noted.

Deadlines to add a course

• Face-to-face course: Prior to the start of the second class meeting

• IWC Online courses: Noon on the Wednesday following the opening of the class

• OCICU Online courses: Cannot be added following the posted registration deadline.

Deadlines to drop a course

• Face-to-face courses: Noon of the day following the second class meeting

• IWC Online courses: Noon on the Friday following the opening of the class

• OCICU Online courses: See special section under OCICU Deadlines to withdraw from a course

Withdrawal from a course without a grade being posted is allowed during the time between the drop deadline and completion of 60% of the course length – after which a letter-grade for the course will be awarded. (See special section under OCICU for OCICU course withdrawal dates.)

Change from Letter Grade to Audit or S/U

Request must be received prior to the third class meeting of a face-to-face course (or prior to completion of 25% of the course length in online courses or courses not following a regular term schedule). OCICU courses not eligible. Change from Audit or S/U to a Letter Grade

Request must be received prior to the sixth class meeting of a face-to-face course (or prior to completion of 50% of the course length in online courses or courses not following a regular term schedule). OCICU courses not eligible.

Choose the courses and start dates. The MBS Direct network of publishers and wholesalers is able to offer textbooks through a variety of formats suited to student needs: new books, used books, textbook rental (new to IWC) and eBooks/eRentals. Students can choose from a broader array of payment options (major credit cards, PayPal or billed to your IWC account). Some textbooks may have a guaranteed buyback—and you will see the amount you can get for selling your book back at the end of the term. In order to receive the guaranteed buyback price you must return the book online.

Returning customers, please enter your email address and pass-word. Your information will appear on the next screen. (If you are a new customer, please create your password and fill in your account information. You will use this account for all interactions with MBS Direct.)
