Why Use Expandable Ads in Display?
1. We serve a display ad in a size of your choice across the web.
2. A pop-up window appears and fills ¼ page of the current browser screen when a user scrolls
over your display ad with the mouse (called a “mouse-over”).
3. User downloads an offer, or completes a call-to-action without leaving the pop-up window and
the website page.

As a marketer, you have run display campaigns with simple banner ads. You may even have tried
Kwanzoo’s in-banner lead form ads, that allow collection of form fills directly in the ad unit (and
eliminate the need for landing pages. Now, advance your display campaigns with Kwanzoo’s
expandable banner ads. As users mouse over the ad, serve up an in-browser pop-up window
that covers 1/4 page of the user’s current browser screen without leaving the website.
*NOTE: Expandable ads can be run with or without an in-banner form ad unit served inside the pop-up window. The content in the pop-up window can be any URL.

Name your campaign
Tip: A campaign name should convey the client name (for agencies) and type
(dealer event, home buyer leads, newsletter signups). As well as, channel (site retargeting, crm retargeting, direct buy) and publisher (dr dobbs, zdnet), etc. that quickly
convey where the ad has been deployed.

Customize expandable ad
Select ad size from “Select size” drop-down menu located under “Customize Banner Ad”.

1) Select “Upload Image” to upload banner image that matches the size selected.
2) Specify the Landing page URL for click-throughs from the ad unit. This is where the user
will be directed if they close out of the expanded ad and click through the banner ad.

You can run multiple variations of your expandable ad in the same campaign by using the ‘Copy’ function and adding variations in banner design or landing page content. This allows you to test a number of things including creative, pitch, and banner content. NOTE: All creatives in the same campaign, must have the same landing page that comes up in the 1/4 page ad unit. See tip below.

Activate and run campaign

Make sure to Save Settings, then hit ‘Run’ to generate your new campaign’s embed script and bit.ly test link. Hit ‘Activate’ to activate your campaign for placement on a website, ad network, or other channel.Bitly link lets you view and test your active campaign

TIP: To run variations of ads in your expandable ad campaign with different landing pages or content in the expandable ad unit itself you will need to set up each version (per unique content URL) as a new campaign. To save time, simply go to ‘My Campaigns’ and hit copy to create your new campaign(s), then edit your creative and landing page URL.

Select the channel where your campaign will be placed
(Outbound / Inbound / Social Channel)
Make sure you select the right campaign type or channel that reflects where your ad will run. Our platform will generate an ad tag that will work for the specific channel and the ad network /
ad exchange / DSP / RTB partner that you plan to use. If you do not see a partner platform listed, simply contact us. We will make sure the ad tag is tested and certified on the partner platform in 24 to 72 hours.

Enable the 1/4 Page Pop-Up Window with Mouseover
1) Select “Advanced Options” and check the box for “Enable 1/4 Page IFrame Upon Mouseover CTA Click.
2) Specify URL for page that will load in the expandable ad unit and hit ‘Save’. NOTE: This URL is typically the landing page where you want to direct users from the ad. By placing the URL here, you accelerate the display of the content on the landing page to the user without requiring an ad click directly in the 1/4 page pop-up window.

Review Campaign Performance
1) Login to Kwanzoo account.
2) Select “My Campaigns” from top right banner tabs. This will take you to the campaign overview screen where you can view high level campaign data across multiple campaigns at one time.
3) Click “Detailed Stats” to view Lead & Click data at the campaign level and “Export” to get a detailed campaign breakdown by day and by creative in Excel (.xls file) format.
4) Click “Engagement Details” to get a detailed campaign engagement report in Excel (.xls file) format. 1) Login to Kwanzoo account.
