INTRODUCTION
Hero Honda Motors Limited, based in Delhi, India, is the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles. Hero Honda is a joint venture that began in 1984 between the Hero Group of India and Honda of Japan. Two of these are based at Dharuhera and Gurgaon in Haryana and the third state of the art manufacturing facility was inaugurated at Haridwar, Uttrakhand in April 2008.These plants together are capable of producing out 4.4 million units per year.
1.1 COMPANY PROFILE
“Hero” is the brand name used by the Munjal brothers in the year 1956 with the flagship company Hero Cycles. India's Hero Group and Japan’s Honda Motor Company merged in 19th Jan 1984. Japan has not only created the world's single largest two wheeler company but also one of the most successful joint ventures worldwide.
During the 80s, Hero Honda became the first company in India to prove that it was possible to drive a vehicle without polluting the roads. The company introduced new generation motorcycles that set industry benchmarks for fuel thrift and low emission. A legendary 'Fill it - Shut it - Forget it' campaign captured the imagination of commuters across India, and Hero Honda sold millions of bikes purely on the commitment of increased mileage. Over 19 million Hero Honda two wheelers tread Indian roads today. These are almost as many as the number of people in Finland, Ireland and Sweden put together.
Hero Honda has consistently grown at double digits since inception; and today, every second motorcycle sold in the country is a Hero Honda. Every 30 seconds, someone in India buys Hero Honda's top -selling motorcycle - Splendor. This festive season, the company sold half a million two wheelers in a single month-a feat unparalleled in global automotive history.
VISION
Hero Honda had a dream of making motorcycles that would touch and transform the lives of their customers by giving them a mode of transport that was fuel-efficient, comfortable and environment friendly. One that would enhance their efficiency at work, enable them to share moments of joy with their families and add up to a better quality of life. In a scenario where the customer had a few choices, their vision was to offer the highest quality at a reasonable price, to meet their customer’s expectations, and to exceed them. Behind the success of Hero Honda, is the saga of teamwork. In the new millennium, they stand committed to innovation, to change, to achieving breakthroughs… to moving forward in the new century, while retaining the values that have been like a beacon in this journey thus far.

2.2 Methodology
Research Design --- Exploratory Research
Exploratory Research: Exploratory Research is conducted into an issue or problem where there are few or no earlier studies to refer to. The focus is on gaining insights & familiarity for later investigation. It is used principally to gain a deeper understanding of something. Scaling Method---- Likert Scale
Likert Scale: A measure of attitudes designed to allow respondents to indicate how strongly they agree or disagree with carefully constructed statements that range from very positive to very negative toward an attitudinal object.
The Rating used in Likert Scale is as
1 – Strongly Disagree 3 – Neither agree nor disagree 5 – Strongly Agree
2 – Disagree 4 – Agree
SAMPLING METHOD--- Stratified Random Sampling
In stratified sampling, simple random sub samples are drawn from within different strata that are more or less equal on some characteristic.
Different strata were formed on the basis of department wise in which different grades were taken in the organization.
LC – LK Operator
E1 – E2 Junior Staff (Supervisor, Junior Officer)
E3 – E5 Officers (Asstt. Officer/Asstt. Engg., Officer/Engg., Sr. Officer/Sr.Engg)
M1 – M2 Asstt. Manager, Deputy Manager
M3 & Above Manager, Sr. Manager, AGM
From the different strata mentioned above, analysis was done. Department - wise analysis, Grade - wise analysis, and overall analysis.
Method of data Collection
• Primary Research (open ended) questionnaire, one to one interaction with employees’, help desk.
• Secondary Research (internet, books, journals, reading material from HHG) understand the topic, HHG culture, & processes.

Chapter III – Collection & Analysis of Data
3.1 Data collection
This chapter deals with the analysis of data or in other words, is the main body of the project. The feedback was taken from the employees by conducting the survey, making the respondents to fill the questionnaire (Annexure-I, Annexure-II). The respondents gave various suggestions during the survey that helped us in the analysis.
Questionnaire is divided into stages i.e.
1st Discriminant Analysis --- It’s a mathematical approach designed to describe
consumer/employees perception of an object or activity on series of special map. So that the relationship between objects can see easily. It is an attribute-based approach of mapping perception.
2nd Descriptive Analysis --- It is a study which describes each characteristics of a particular individual or a group. i.e.
• Department wise
• Grade wise

3.2 Data Analysis
In 1st Quadrant attributes, which are covered in circle, are moving around to CFT &
Quality Circle is fully satisfied by the employees. From Activities:
Quality circles, CFT’s, Suggestion schemes, Morning stand up meeting, Library, Festivals all these activities are doing well, from these-employees are satisfy but dis-satisfied from open house, picnic/tours.
From Attributes:
Employees’ getting Knowledge, Self-development, Team work, Participation, Awareness & Motivation they all are moving around these activities but somewhere lacking from decision-making & family involvement.
Recommendation:
• Employees’ are not aware about the open house, so programs should run by the organization to give them proper knowledge.
• Family involvement, picnic/tours is necessary.
Suggestions:
As per the analysis of
questionnaire-• There is a need to improve some activities of CFT.
• From personal interview & grid we recognize that picnic/tours are prominent to engaged employees in the work, where family get involved deeply which is very important for employees’ as well as for company to increase their efficiency.
• People are concerned for knowledge, teamwork and self-development so activities should be there to increase these attributes.
