At Peoples Bank we’re

The Older the Fiddle, the Sweeter the Tune

Peoples Bank was originally chartered in 1871 in Ottawa, Kansas, and we’ve never

looked back. On New Year’s Day in 1934 we proudly received our FDIC membership.

The modern-day bank was purchased by the Winter family in 1974 and the seeds for a

brand new concept in banking were planted.

Over the next decades, Peoples grew up and out offering banking services to several

communities in Kansas and New Mexico. In 1983 we added Mortgage services to

the list of our offered banking products. Our expertise and our commitment to provide

top-quality Mortgages have allowed us to expand our Mortgage Banking locations

from the San Francisco Bay to the Chesapeake Bay.

We bake chocolate chip cookies in our lobby and walk Guests to their car with an umbrella

when it’s raining. We stay late to get the job done, and we celebrate together when we’ve

succeeded. We provide world-class service and have a little (or a lot of) fun while we do it.

We’re a family-owned and operated bank who is unusually passionate about helping

people achieve financial betterment. We make it possible for families to purchase their

product to the most unique. With our Peoples Product, we have simplified Underwriting so

there are very few overlays or restrictions beyond agency guidelines.

As an approved Lender to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, we can sell directly to them.
