he greatest common factor (GCF)of two or more numbers is the greatest number that is a factor of each number. One way to find the greatest

common factor is to list the factors of each number and then choose the greatest common factors.

Find the GCF of 36 and 48.

The GCF of 36 and 48 is 12.

A

nother way to find the GCF is to use the prime factorization of each number. Then identify all common prime factors and find their product.
