General Selection and Special Selection of Continuing Education Students
1. Qualification for Applicants
(1) General Selection
One of the followings (1) - (8) should apply :
(1) Those who have graduated from university or are expected to graduate by March 31, 2016.
(2) Those who have received a bachelor s degree through the National Institution for Academic Degrees and University Evaluation, or who are expect to receive one by March 31, 2016.
(3) Those who have finished 16 years of formal education overseas, or who will have done so by March 31, 2016.
(4) Those who will have completed 16 years of formal education overseas by taking correspondence courses offered by a school overseas while studying in Japan, or who will have completed it by March 31, 2016.
(5) Those who have completed a course by an educational facility that is positioned to have the same formal education system as a foreign university while staying in Japan, and is designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology, or will have completed the course by March 31, 2016. Those who have completed the course for home it will result in the equivalent of having attended 16 years of formal education in the applicable foreign school system.
(6) Those who have completed specialist training at a vocational school (length of course of study must be at least four years and fulfill the requirements set by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology) that is designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology and completed after the day set by said minister, or is expected to be completed by March 31, 2016.

(8) Those who have been examined by the graduate school and determined by a separate entrance qualifications re-view to have the same or more academic ability as a university graduate, and who will be 22 years of age by March 31, 2016.
Note Applicants who wish to apply using (8) will have a separate entrance qualifications review. Please be sure to contact the entrance exam center in advance.
(2) Special Selection of Continuing Education Students
Those who qualify one of the General Selection items above and for whom either a) or b) are applicable.a) Those for whom five years or more have passed since graduating university, as of April 1, 2016.
b) Those who have, as a general rule, worked at the same corporation, public office, educational or research facilities, medical, welfare, or health facilities for more than three years as of April 1, 2016.

a. Those who are currently working full-time as an educator or childcare worker at the time of application at a daycare, preschool, elementary school, junior high school, senior high school, secondary school, special education school, technical school, junior college, or university.
b. Those who are currently working full-time as a human service worker with national qualifications in the medical or welfare fields at the time of application.

(11) Those who will have graduated by March 31, 2016 from a school by taking classes specified for architecture by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and that have been confirmed by the Japan Architectural Education and Information Center in following with Article 14 Number 1 to Number 3 of the Architect Act.
(12) Those who entered school before an amendment made to the Architect Act (2006 Law No. 114) was enacted (November 28, 2008), and graduated after taking the appropriate architecture and public works classes, or classes specified by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, or who will graduate before March 31, 2016. (2) Those who qualify under General Selection, and who satisfy the following conditions.
Those who have been working in nursing, and who plan to continue to work after entering school, and whose employer has given permission to study at graduate school.
