Using the Citrix Shared Desktop

As the name suggests the Citrix Shared Desktop is a server that is shared amongst multiple users. Each user gets their own session and access to their own G:\ and H:\ drive. As this is a shared machine there are limitations on what applications are available and what can be done on the server.

Applications

The following applications are available on the Citrix Shared Desktop: • Microsoft Outlook

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Internet Explorer

• Adobe Acrobat Reader • Citrix Applications *

*You can use other Citrix Applications that you have access to. For example Academy and Uniform. Shortcuts to all these applications are placed within the Citrix Applications folder within your Start Menu.
