Brief Overview

ARTventurers was founded in 2011 by Fiona Simpson, mum to two little ARTventurers – Erin, 9 and Isaac 7 – although she has been running art and creative activities, sessions and parties for children since 2008 whilst juggling that with a toddler and a baby!

Fiona has always been passionate about art and design and in addition to running ARTventurers she also produces her own range of handpainted ceramics under the name Just Pottering which have been stocked in various retail outlets across the region and are sold online. Fiona is a member of AIR, the representative body for practicing visual and applied artists and has a number of years of experience of working with children of different ages in various settings including Early Years.

ARTventurers run colourful, creative (often messy!) art, craft and creative play sessions for babies, toddlers and children during the week in different areas of the UK as well as holiday classes and workshops, fantastic creative birthday parties, after school clubs and other events for children of all ages!

Over the last 2 years ARTventurers has been nominated for a number of awards and was one of the Netmums winners in their prestigious Pre School Class awards 2012, nominated and voted for by parents and carers who attend the classes on a weekly basis.

Our weekly art classes are colourful, creative, often messy and always lots of fun!

Painting, modelling, sensory play, exploring, singing and music making; our colourful, creative classes are interactive and provide a safe and secure environment for children to explore and create while making new friends.

At ARTventurers we believe firmly in the benefits of free flow creative play for babies, toddlers and young children. We recognise that all children are unique and individual – the layout of our sessions allow children to explore and create… at their own pace, making their own choices and exercising their independence, resulting in a rich, happy and fun learning experience. Our sessions combine free flow play with a structured circle time and social time too.

We run Baby ARTventurers classes for age babies and younger toddlers 6 – 16 months upwards and for older toddlers and pre-schoolers age 16 months to 4 years our Little ARTventurers classes are lively, energetic art classes with a fresh theme each week!

At ARTventurers we are committed to providing an excellent service to all our customers. With this in mind our principle from day one has been to achieve exceptionally high standards with a professional approach. This is something we will pass on to every franchisee!

The training program has been designed to ensure that you run your business efficiently. Your initial training will take place over two days and includes:

• Overview and the market place

• Setting up and running your business • Sales and marketing

• General administration and reporting

Once you have had your initial training it doesn’t stop there. Ongoing bespoke training is available to you if you want more advanced training or just some refresher training to go over anything again. You will also receive a monthly mentoring call to ensure that everything is on track. We feel that our training, support and backup are key features of our franchise offering. ARTventurers also provides comprehensive telephone and e-mail support. This ensures you are never left on your own

and support is available whenever you need it.
