About WAGGGS
The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) is the largest voluntary movement dedicated to girls and young women in the world. It has Member Organizations in 146 countries, with 10 million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world.

What we are looking for
The Communication and Advocacy team looks after brand strategy and design; Public relations; Media relations; Internal communications; Online and social media; Publications; Event management, Merchandise; Partnerships; Global campaigns and advocacy.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Communications Team at a crucial time in the advancement of a digital project, as a Digital Project Manager. We are looking for someone to take responsibility for developing, managing and maintaining the WAGGGS websites, extranet and e-learning platform and driving the development of a new central website in the summer of 2015. The successful applicant will continually develop and implement the organization’s digital media strategy and support the development of the online capacity across the membership base. You will be the Digital Champion at the heart of the organisation. You will have line management responsibility for the Digital Communications Officer.
You will have a sound knowledge of web-based technology and a demonstrable experience of successfully developing social media strategies and growing social media groups and online presence. You will have experience in people and project management together with the ability to read and write basic HTML and experience of using CMS systems.

Main purpose of the job
The Digital Project Manager is responsible for continually developing and implementing the organization’s digital media strategy and overseeing the maintenance of WAGGGS’ websites and digital platforms as well as supporting the development of online capacity across the membership base.
Key Responsibilities
To develop and co-ordinate the functionality, design, content and usability of WAGGGS’ websites and microsites.
To project manage any new developments on the websites, work with other teams to build and manage the functionality and content they require.
To run reports and analyse data, making recommendations to optimize WAGGGS’ online presence and reach, including reviewing competitor activity, keeping track of latest theories and technologies and optimizing search results.
To develop and implement WAGGGS’ social media presence.
To ensure effective web integration with WAGGGS’ database system, e-learning platform and general IT systems and policies.
To ensure WAGGGS has the appropriate online and digital infrastructure, investment schedule and partnerships to support its digital strategy.
To extend WAGGGS technological reach into new realms such as mobile apps, publishing software and online broadcasting.
To work with Member Organizations and partners to build a broad online community and network and build the capacity of our members to set up and leverage digital media.
To ensure WAGGGS’ websites are compliant with the appropriate laws and requirements.
To advise various departments on using digital media, for example optimizing the e-learning

Person Specification
Essential
Qualifications and Experience
A sound knowledge of web-based technology.
Experience in developing social media strategies and growing social media groups and presence.
Experience in management, agency and project management.
An ability to read and write basic HTML.
Experience using CMS systems.
Communications and Technical Skills
Technically minded, with the ability to support and communicate with non-technology savvy groups.
An understanding of web development, internet optimization and social media opportunities.
A proven track record of developing and implementing digital strategy.
A strong creative approach.
Attitudes An ability to work independently and proactively.
Demonstrable ability to work effectively across teams.
Must have flexibility, patience and the ability to cope with changing priorities.
An appreciation of different cultures and the ability to implement equal opportunities in all aspects of work.
Desirable
Languages A working knowledge of French and/or Spanish.
What we offer you
Salary Circa £33,000 per annum
Location World Bureau, 12c Lyndhurst Road, London, NW3 5PQ
Contract Term Permanent
Working Hours 35 hours per week.
Probationary Period 6 months.
Annual Leave: 26 days per annum, excluding statutory bank holidays.
Group Life Scheme Immediate membership of scheme which provides insurance cover of four times annual salary in the event of death in service.
Pension: Group Stakeholder Pension Plan: Employer’s contribution of 8%, employee’s contribution of 5%. Employees will be eligible for employer’s contribution on successful completion of probation period
