A FEW OF THE PEOPLE WE SERVE ...

CHRIST BAPTIST CHURCH This design build completed in July 2012, includes audio, video capture and projection, stage and house lighting, and Crestron control systems for four spaces: choir room, gathering hall, fellowship hall, and a main worship space, which seats

approximately 1200. We designed the sound, lighting, video, control systems and infrastructure for the facility.

SOUTHBRIDGE FELLOWSHIP This is a portable church that Provision supports with capture and broadcast of audio/video, portable lighting and sound integration, and use of on-site materials and layouts to fit the needs of the church.

WAKE FOREST BAPTIST CHURCH Provision AVS designed and integrated a new audio system for Wake Forest Baptist Church. The build-out included tearing out wiring from 1 00-year-old spaces, retrofitting new floor boxes and column arrays to fit the architectural style of the church. The result was a discreet, yet powerful, system with Renkus-Heinz digitally-steerable arrays to work with the challenging acoustical space.

SOUTHEASTERN BAPTIST THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY

Provision has done extensive work at SEBTS to bring the audio and video systems up to date, including and upgrade and renovation of audio, video, lighting, and capture systems for archival and distance learning

purposes.

RICHLAND CREEK

Provision is designing the new facility in conjunction with the architect and engineers hired by Richland Creek. The facility's main meeting space is a multi-use room seating 2500 at full capacity. Our designs include not only the strictly technical portions like audio, video, lighting, controls etc. but also the worship area floor plan, acoustics, and aesthetics. This includes floor plans and 3-dimensional wall shapes, the addition (or subtraction) of acoustic treatments, and customized means of protecting equipment in the multi-use space.

MISSION AND VISION

PROVISION AUDIO/VIDEO SERVICES LLC EXISTS TO USE OUR GOD GIVEN

TALENTS AND SKILLS TO SUPPORT CHRISTIAN CHURCHES AND

ORGANIZATIONS IN SHARING AND EXPANDING GOD’S KINGDOM.

Provision Audio/Video Services was formed out of the desire to: • serve churches with honest, accurate information

• design and install AV equipment that serves the church – not the bottom line of a business • partner in a long-term ministry relationship with churches that are about people

It is our vision for Provision AVS to be a part of God’s provision to his Church. We encourage churches to view

technology as a tool that facilitates their mission by enhancing the spoken word, clarifying and amplifying worship, and serving God’s Kingdom.

MINISTRY PARTNERSHIP

Provision AVS desires to cultivate long-term relationships with churches and Christian organizations. We view ourselves as a ministry partner with the goal of understanding your church’s mission, culture, and people. With this understanding, we use our expertise in design and installation, years of experience, industry knowledge, and manufacturer relationships to help churches make wise decisions and leverage technology well. This perspective of ministry partnership means that individual projects are conceived and accomplished with a mutual trust that is unique in the industry. For us, serving the Church through Provision is one of the primary ways we worship God with our lives.

PROJECT PARTNERSHIP: 5 PHASES

PHASE 1: CONSULTATION/ARTICULATED PURPOSE

At the foundation of every successful project is an understanding that stewardship must be measured in light of the degree to which the money being spent facilitates the mission of the church. It is vital that a solid purpose for any project be established on this basis. This Articulated Purpose will then serve as the framework for design goals and project requirements that we develop together during this phase.

PHASE 2: ESTIMATION

Provision AVS understands t hat churches and organizations need solid information about the estimated costs of the projects they are considering. Based on the Articulated Purpose of the project developed through the consultation phase, we provide detailed rough estimates of project costs to aid in the decision-making process. While the final decision belongs to the church, our role is to assist the church in making the most God-honoring decision possible. Provision AVS is committed to both Christian and professional integrity, and we will provide realistic expectations for your project.

PHASE 3: DESIGN

In the Design Phase, Provision AVS takes the Articulated Purpose and the other information obtained through t he consultation process and assigns each of the systems to a system designer. We consult d irectly with the manufacturers offering t he greatest expertise in sound, video, lighting, and control system designs. Through the design phase there will be meetings with your representatives to review the direction t he design is moving. Some of t hese meetings may include d irect d iscussions with manufacturer representatives if appropriate.

Provision AVS has the experience and the right tools to fully

understand the unique communication needs of your venue and find the right solution. Measuring your build ing's unique sound issues and designing a model that allows you to visualize the needs for

your system takes the right tools. We also prepare plans that easily integrate into the project team's drawings to facilitate better communication among all contractors.

The EASE software suite provides system designers and consultants with an invaluable set of tools for all aspects of professional practice, from detailed, realistic modeling and simulation of venue acoustics and sound system performance to informative and engaging c lient presentations, as well as comprehensive measurement and verification.

Vectorworks is a comprehensive, streamlined design application. With superior 2D and 3D capabilities, and a flexible design environment, Vectorworks delivers a CAD application that is intuitive to use, and powerful enough to produce complex drawings. AutoCAD software is one of the world's leading 2D and 3D CAD design tools. Smaart is the most straightforward and widely used software for real-time sound system measurement, analysis and optimization. Provision AVS uses all the necessary tools to deliver a design that meets or exceeds your expectations.

PHASE 4: DELIVERY / INSTALLATION

The Delivery/Installation Phase is performed by

experienced and conscientious installers. We

install every project according to pre-approved

plans and the Articulated Purpose of the project.

Provision AVS installers work each project with the knowledge that we hope to provide service on

the installation for many years to come. With this

in mind we strive to install systems in a way that makes the system the most reliable and as easy

to service as possible. Provision AVS designers

and installers adhere to the standards of the

International Communication Industry Association (ICIA). As such, each person involved with various aspects of

the project is qualified for the function they perform.

Provision AVS delivers projects completed on time and on budget. We consider change orders to be a clear

indication of a design or discovery mistake, and we go to great lengths to avoid them. We know our clients don’t

like them, and neither do we. Change orders are not an opportunity to increase profits or charge greater margin,

labor rates, etc. If a change order is ever required Provision AVS will price the changes in the same manner as

the original contract.

As the usability of the systems we provide is critical, we consider

training to be one of the most vital elements. We will conduct

extensive training time both in the space under live conditions as well

as technical classroom style instruction. In addition to our highly

trained and skilled Provision AVS staff, we frequently access the expertise of other production professionals to provide the best

possible training to church personnel and volunteers. Every church

project we complete has a Provision engineer present on the first few

worship band rehearsals and live worship services. We will frequently

extend this service as needed to ensure proper training and confidence for the church’s staff and system operators.

PHASE 5:

SERVICE

At the completion of a project and as part of our long-term

ministry partnership, Provision AVS provides responsive and

quality service long after the installation has been completed. There are two primary types of service we offer our clients on an ongoing basis:

PREVENTATIVE EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE

Periodically equipment needs to be cleaned and tested to both prolong the life of the equipment and to reduce the

likelihood of failure resulting in down time. This service is

offered as either a part of the original project contract or as a

separate item. We strive to meet or exceed the

manufacturers recommended maintenance requirements.

CRISIS SERVICE

We know a system, power or operator failure can happen at the worst time. Provision AVS considers the specific

needs of our church clients and the unique schedule that churches operate on. We understand that the Sunday

service is typically the most important function of the week. As such, we have a technician assigned to Sunday

OUR NAME

The name “Provision” was chosen to always remind us that God is our Provider. He provided the ultimate

provision by the gift of sacrificing His Son for our salvation. In business, we seek to remember every day that all

we have is a gift provided by God.

Therefore, we choose every day to approach our work humbly as an act of worship, offering up our skills and

abilities to serve others.

OUR TEAM

John and Alanna have been married for nine years and live in Rolesville, NC. They met while working at the same church and now enjoy working together again as business owners.

John was born in Michigan and then lived in St. Louis and Colorado Springs before his family settled in Calgary, Alberta, when he was 12

years old. He moved to Raleigh, NC in 1998 for work and has enjoyed

not being in the Canadian winter. He loves debating politics, discussing philosophy, music, and being with his wife and dog, Uma.

Alanna was raised in small town in the Catskill Mountains of upstate NY.

She moved to Raleigh in 1999 following two years in graduate school at University of Memphis. Alanna is the

President of the Raleigh office of the National Christian Foundation where she advises Christians on giving strategies to multiply and simplify their giving. In addition to her full-time job, she now supports Provision AVS by

overseeing marketing and administration.

Daniel and Carrie have been married for ten years and live in Wake Forest, NC. They met in high school church summer camp as kids, became friends, never dated, and got married one day. It might be a little more complicated than that, but that pretty much sums it up.

Daniel was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. He lived in Dublin, Ireland, attending school and helping start City Gates International Fellowship from ’94-’97. After high school and college, Daniel served in the Marine Corps for 8 years as an Intelligence Analyst and Martial Arts Instructor. After leaving the Corps, he worked on several defense contracts for the US Government. After much ado, John told Daniel he needed a hand. So he gave him a hand, and here we are.

Carrie is way smarter than Daniel. She graduated with honors from every school she’s ever attended, and has a degree in psychology from UNCW. She stays at home with their two gorgeous kids, teaching them and caring for them, which is a way harder job than the one Daniel does. She has a great love for Jesus, and chooses to serve over being served.

Rob and Ashley have been married 9 years and have three children. They live in Wake Forest, NC and are members of North Wake Church where Rob serves as the part-time Director of Technology and Communication. They met as students at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. Rob has a B.A. in Philosophy and Religion from JMU and a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and has served on staff with three churches. He has written on the topic of church technology, and loves helping churches use technology in a way that facilitates their mission. His greatest passions are family, the church, and the Washington Redskins.

Ashley earned a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from JMU and enjoys being at home with the kids, and creating. She has a blog and an Etsy shop which are her primary means of creative expression.

Unlike everyone else, Justin is not married. He was born and raised in the Appalachian foothills of West Virginia to a loving and spiritual family. He studied Design and Theatre Technology at Marshall University, before moving to Raleigh (the first time) to pursue a career in Live Event Production. There, he was able to hone his skills in Audio Engineering, Lighting Design, Project Management, and lots of other useful stuff. In 2011, he made a shift back into the Performing Arts profession, and relocated to South Carolina. After five (plus) years in Event Production, and a year and a half in the Performing Arts, Justin felt that he needed to do something more meaningful with his life and career. After much soul searching and prayer, his good friend John convinced him that Provision AVS might be a good way to go.

During his career in stage production, Justin has had the great fortune to work closely with many church tech teams, worship groups, and youth conferences, in a wide variety of opportunities. He finds great reward in serving the purpose of the church and worship events, and helping to facilitate the delivery of God’s message. “I am thrilled to be a part of the Provision AVS family, and I feel inspired daily by the righteous men and women that I have the great fortune to work with.”

Justin enjoys many hobbies, which include playing guitar, cooking, and crafting re-purposed materials into new and useful things. He currently lives in Raleigh (again) with his faithful canine companion, Duke. (For the record, Duke has no affiliation to any major NC Universities, and he prefers to keep it that way.)
