Two causes to which they have donated their time and experience in the last year are House of Tiny Treasures and Habitat for Humanity.

Houston’s Services of Emergency A i d a n d R e s e a r c h C e n t e r ’ s (SEARCH) House of Tiny Treasures provides daycare for homeless and formerly homeless children. The infant room suffered costly damages during Tropical Storm Allison three years ago. Lennar Homes heard about the situation and decided to help. They donated materials and services, and volunteers built the House from start to finish.

HUMANITY

Habitat for Humanity is building houses and building hope around the world because they strongly believe everyone deserves a decent place to live. Recently the Lennar Family of Builders and their contractors and suppliers completed eight homes in one week for Habitat for Humanity.

From first-time buyer homes to luxury homes, every Lennar home begins with a general package of features that may include ceramic tile flooring in the foyer; ceiling fans with lights; oval garden tubs, ceramic tile and polished brass or chrome washerless faucets in the bathrooms; raised panel interior doors; and 50-year warranted sid-ing, soddsid-ing, soffits, fascia and trim.

Other features throughout the home vary depending upon the collection and the model. For example, in certain models you will find a complete GE package that includes a microwave oven, self-cleaning oven, 18, 20 or 22 cubic foot refrigerator with ice maker, a potscrubber dish-washer and dish-washer and dryer. In addition, most Lennar homes come equipped with a security system ensuring your family’s safety and comfort.

he Lennar Family of Builders has a comprehensive, easy to understand Ten Stage Construction Process. The first four steps are considered “rough” stages and the remaining six stages are considered “finish” stages. Homebuyers are welcome to visit the site during the various stages of construction and witness their dream home being built.

SLAB STAGE: A good foundation begins with the home layout, grading and setting forms which includes the steel, rough plumbing, mechanical and electrical placements. The founda-tions are inspected before moving onto the final step - pouring the slab.

FRAME STAGE: A Lennar home is framed one floor at a time, followed by the roof

frame. Inspections are then completed to ensure a nail pattern has been followed to safely secure all materials to their sup-port system.

ROOF STAGE: The roof sheeting and roof nailing are completed followed by the instal-lation of windows and

exterior sheathing (as required per plan) and the loading of roof tiles or shingles.

PRE-SHEETROCK STAGE: The rough mechanical work for the plumbing, heating and air conditioning and electrical systems is completed. Rough frame inspections are then conducted and the Sheetrock is stacked or scheduled.

SHEETROCK STAGE:At this stage the Sheetrock and ceiling insulation is installed and a nailing inspection is completed. The Sheetrock is taped and textured in accordance with the approved home plans and the exterior finishes are started (brick, stone, siding).

INTERIOR TRIM STAGE: Exterior doors are installed and the interior trim around the doors, floor molding and doors is placed.

P A I N T , C A B I N E T S A N D COUNTERTOP STAGE: Interior painting is applied and the cabinets and countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms are installed.

FLOORING STAGE:

T h e f i n i s h t r i m , w h i c h i n c l u d e s plumbing, HVAC, and other wiring, is completed. The flooring and appli-ances are installed and the outside land-scaping is finished. Sidewalks, patios and driveways may be poured at this stage as well.

QUALITY ASSURANCE STAGE:

An internal quality assurance inspection is completed and the h o m e i s p r e p a r e d f o r t h e homebuyer presentation.

BUYER ACCEPTANCE STAGE:The homebuyer receives a presentation about their home that includes a demonstration of all their home’s fea-tures. They can express any concerns and request corrections prior to clos-ing on any item. If any changes need to be made, a second and final pre-sentation will be scheduled prior to closing. Our “I Care” and Zero Defect programs are assurance that the homebuyer’s satisfaction is our most important concern.

Lennar’s ENERGY STAR labeled homes are built to be at least 30% more efficient than the National Model Energy Code (MEC), offering tighter construction, improved insulation, high perfor-mance windows and high efficiency heating and cool-ing equipment. These fea-tures work in conjunction with one another to create superior quality homes that use less energy and provide a warm and cozy atmosphere year round.

M o re o v e r, L e n n a r Homes has hired Dale Phillips Inspection Services, LLC, a full service engineering firm to verify this exem-plary performance level.

Lennar ’s ENERGY STAR labeled homes will save you money on your utility bills, while also pro-viding a home that is more durable, quieter, better for the environment and less expensive to own.

ENERGY STAR is a cooperative program of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the U.S. Environ-mental Protection Agency (EPA) and is an approved alternative to Texas Senate Bill 5.

ennar Homes has taken quality to an even higher level by implementing a Quality Assurance program that consists of thorough home inspections conducted by highly trained professionals. They ensure that all homes are built according to Lennar’s high standards.

“Lennar has developed the Quality Assurance program to assure the home-buyer we are delivering a high quality home,” said Larry K. Coomer, Lennar’s Quality Assurance Team Leader.

The Quality Assurance program is completed before the Intro-Walk. “We like to call the Intro-Walk a ‘celebration’ because at this time the home is 100% complete and ready for move-in,” Mr. Coomer adds. “At this time, homeowners are familiarized with their home including

the features of the home and how to oper-ate appliances. We also provide a thor-ough explanation about maintenance and the warranty program.”

Once the homebuyer has settled in, they are introduced to a Lennar Care Representative who will address any issues or concerns throughout a family’s homeownership experience. The home building and home buying processes as well as the homeownership experience offered to Lennar’s homebuyers is referred to as Lennar Total Care.

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM

T

he Lennar Family of Builders in Houston has enhanced its customer ser-vice with the initiation of the 30-90-11 program, which is intended to provide homes of unparalleled quality and enhance customer satisfac-tion. After you have been liv-ing in your home for 30 days, a customer care representa-tive will contact you and schedule a visit. At this time, a preliminary inspection of the home is conducted for added quality assurance and any concerns or questions are addressed. This process is repeated again at 90 days and 11 months.

Every Lennar home is built by superior craftsmen using quality materials. We take pride in our homes and stand behind them 100%. However, we understand that you may encounter small imperfections during your homeownership experience, which is why we assign a customer care representative to assist you. If an item needs attention, your knowledge-able representative will recti-fy it as quickly as possible.
