METAV – the trade fair in the even-numbered

years

METAV in Düsseldorf has become established as the trade fair for manufac-turing technology and automation. In 2014, it will be the first trade fair to present the full up-to-date range of offers for the market in Germany and the neighbouring countries. For European manufacturers in the metalwork-ing sector, METAV – which was first held in 1980 – is a firmly established key event.

In addition to manufacturing and automation technology, METAV 2014 will again be the venue for some appealing special themes. This premium supporting programme finds its perfect completion in special shows like the modern process chain for the manufacture of medical engineering products, innovations for the efficient machining of fibre composites, and the Fifth Dortmund Grinding Seminar.

Under the heading “Metal meets Medical”, this year’s special show for medical engineering will again be seeing a great many companies and research insti-tutes who will be presenting to visitors their solu-tions for the manufacture of medical engineering products. At the following forum, visitors can learn about the latest trends and developments in medical engineering presented daily in numerous specialised contributions and best practice examples from science and industry. Getting there by car:The Düsseldorf exhibition centre

is directly accessible from the A 44 motorway, allowing you to drive straight to the centre’s main car park P2 without any need for detours. A free shuttle bus will take you from there to the exhibition centre entrances.

Low Emission Zone – Please note that since 2009 an envi-ronmental zone came into effect in Düsseldorf. The exhibi-tion site itself, the car parks and the highway A 44 leading to these are not in the low emission zone.
