THE READER

Susan Lloyd-Hurwitz

Mirvac CEO & Managing Director MIRVAC HAS OVER 40 YEARS

OF EXPERIENCE IN CREATING AND MANAGING SOME OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY DEVELOPMENTS ACROSS AUSTRALIA.

Mirvac is uniquely positioned in Australia as a world class creator and long term owner of assets, and our success is driven by our entrepreneurial and open culture. Mirvac’s corporate strategy is built on three key foundations; being integrated, diversified and focused. Mirvac is focused on maximising the benefits of its integrated model and leveraging the resulting competitive advantage in each of the sectors we operate in – residential, retail and office/industrial. By maintaining a core capability across these three sectors, Mirvac is able to deliver an appropriate balance of passive and active assets and can also unlock complex urban multi-use opportunities.

Mirvac’s interns are given the opportunity to gain valuable industry experience by working alongside leaders in the industry. Mirvac encourages the growth of its employees through supporting further education, mentoring of staff, and promoting a healthy work life balance. Such benefits are further elaborated within the company policy ‘The Mirvac Way’ which you can read more about in this brochure. Internships and graduate programs have been incredibly successful at Mirvac with many of our past graduates progressing into successful careers as managers and directors within the organisation.

I invite you to take the next step in your career by applying for the Mirvac Summer Internship Program for 2015.

The Mirvac internship offers an outstanding opportunity to join one of Australia’s most respected property groups.

I joined Mirvac in 2000 on their development graduate program and spent 12 months learning about the organisation before settling into the development team as an Assistant Development Manager.

I have progressed to become a Development Director and am still constantly learning, being challenged every day. Mirvac offers excellent career progression opportunities and provides the ability to work on, and be responsible for exceptional large, complex, envied development projects.

GANNON

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER On Mirvac Finance

Being part of the inaugural Mirvac Finance Internship was full of learning experiences and great times that I am truly grateful for. The internship fostered my business acumen through rotations in Development Financial Accounting, Development Management Accounting and Trust Accounting teams. By having extensive exposure to the business through meetings with the CFO, frequent training, development and social events, I quickly came to appreciate Mirvac’s culture as a great workplace.

Being an intern at Mirvac really helped me hone my practical skills, and was a place that really encouraged my learning. Everyone I approached was ready to help me and I was given every opportunity to make the most of the experience. I worked closely with Group finance in the interim reporting period and gained valuable practical skills. My mentor not only supported me throughout the internship, but also gave me the fundamentals for a great Mirvac experience. I built valuable relationships and I learnt the importance of a friendly and supportive team!
