Hardware, Software & Network Requirements

System requirements for the Enterprise™ application, including Business Objects™, are provided in this document. These requirements include hardware, software, and network environments. Marsh ClearSight reserves the right to amend these requirements based on testing prior to the current, as well as future releases.

Note: The document does not cover the requirements for the database server due to widely varying database needs when Enterprise is locally hosted. Database server requirements should be determined by your DBA team.

Hardware Requirements

Aside from the database system, there can be up to four types of hardware required for use of the Enterprise system:  Web Server

 Job Server

 Business Objects Server (optional)  Administrative Tools Workstation/Server

Most configurations will require four separate physical machines for production operation: a single dedicated Web Server, a single dedicated Job Server, a single dedicated Business Objects Server, and a single database server.

 DSL/ISDN/Cable Internet Connection

 Monitor that can support a resolution of 1024 x 768  2GB RAM

Web Server

 Intel® Xeon® processor (Dual 2.93 GHz)  4 GB or more of RAM

 40 GB system drive + 20GB drive

Job Server

 Intel Xeon processor (Dual 2.93 GHz)  8 GB or more of RAM

 40 GB system drive + 20GB drive

Business Objects Server (optional)

 IntelXeon processors (Dual 2.93 GHz)

 16 GB or more of RAM

 40 GB drive + 45 GB drive (SAN storage supported for file store)

Administrative Tools Server

The Administrative tools can reside on the Web Server or Job Server but it can also reside on a separate server machine or on a workstation that has access to the database system.

is compatible with SaaS Enterprise using the hardware listed below. Other versions of Enterprise, PE, and Audit are not compatible with the iPhone app.
