THINGS TO NOTE BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THIS GUIDE:
The following guide should be completed before the school term starts to prevent any disruption in your daily works
You are assigned 5 licenses which you can use to install of 5 different computers (Windows or MAC)
You are also entitled to install Office on your mobile up to 2 devices (Android or iOS)
The licenses assigned to you will be removed exactly 1 month after you exit from RP
Please follow the sequence in this document carefully in order to install and configure Office 365 in your computer successfully
Note to STUDENTS – please make sure that your RP VPN is connected at all times during this process
Note To STAFFS – you will only use [email protected] to download the Office 365 package. Other than that, all other fields that require your email ID will be [email protected]

OFFICE 365 PROPLUS INSTALLATION GUIDE
Step 1. Open Internet Explorer and go to http://login.microsoftonline.com Login with your RP email account.
For Students: [email protected] For Staffs: [email protected]
Step 2. Once logged in, click on icon that looks like this ➔
It will located at the top right hand corner of the webpage. After clicking and getting a menu similar to the one shown in the screenshot, click on Office 365 Settings

Step 3. Click on Software located on the left-hand side.
Step 4. Make sure language is set to English (United States) and the Version is 32-bit.
Once verified, click on Install.
Upon clicking the Install button, it will download and run a small file that will assist you to install Office 365 in your computer. Please make sure that during this time, there is no disruption to internet connectivity for the computer as it will cause the installation to fail.

Do not click and install Office 2016

Step 5. A window may prompt up, asking for activation of Office 365. When it prompts, type in your RP email address.
To check whether activation is successful, open any Microsoft Office 365 program, go to FILE Account.
If it is not activated, please do proceed to activate it again. If you’re already activated but the program says it’s not, you may try restarting the laptop and checking the activation status once again.

MICROSOFT OUTLOOK 2013 CONFIGURATION GUIDE
Step 1. Open Microsoft Outlook. You can click on your start menu and type outlook. Once launched, click on Next
Step 2. Click on Next again in the screen below

Step 3 FOR STAFF. Please enter your details accordingly for the step below and click on Next Please note that for E-mail Address, enter your email address with @rp.edu.sg
For example: [email protected]
Step 3 FOR STUDENT. Outlook will automatically detect your account. You will have to just click Next after it has filled up the details like the screenshot shown below.

Step 4. Upon filling up your details and clicking Next, there will be a prompt for you to enter your password. Please enter your password and click on OK. If you get a security alert prompt as show at the bottom right, please click on Yes.
Step 5. When the connection to the server is successful, you will see something as show in the image below. Click on Finish and Outlook will open and start synchronising your email.

PINNING OUTLOOK TO START MENU
Step 1. Click on the Windows button on your keyboard and type Outlook 2013
Step 2. Right-click on the Outlook 2013 app and click on Pin to Start as shown in the image.
Now when you open your start menu, you will see the Outlook app in the start menu

MICROSOFT LYNC 2013 CONFIGURATION GUIDE
Please note: As Microsoft is currently transitioning from Lync to Skype for Business, you may either see Lync or Skype for Business in your computer.
Step 1. Search for Lync/Skype for Business 2015 and click on Skype for Business 2015.
Step 2. Once Skype for Business is launched, if you get a prompt to
“Restart Skype for Business” as shown in the picture below, please click on “Restart Now".
If you don’t get any prompt as shown below, proceed to Step 4
Step 3. Skype will quit and Lync will launch

(OPTIONAL STEPS – You may skip Step 4 & 5 if you do not get prompted to Enter Credentials) Step 4. If Lync/Skype for Business is asking for credentials, please click on Enter Credentials as shown below.
Step 5. Type in your Office 365 email address as user name (Example:
[email protected] or [email protected]) and your email account’s password.
