Bowen Center is a Community Mental Health Center offering a full range of professional services to meet the needs of individuals in Indiana. Since 1961, Bowen Center has been dedicated to providing life-changing care to families, individuals and organizations. Bowen Center is proud to offer integrative health care at our Bowen Health Clinic’s, as well as an expanding range of services for all ages such as: family therapy, marital counseling, adolescent and children’s counseling, alcohol and substance use treatment, individual and group therapy, case management,
hypnotherapy, transitional living services, and inpatient services.

Bowen Center will make a monthly contribution toward your student loans and you will have access to student loan refinancing offers that will help you pay down your student loan debt. Skills Coaches are responsible for helping patients learn and use important skills that can improve the quality of their lives. As a Skills Coach, you will work with individuals and families in their homes, schools and in the community. You will be a “life coach”
using an organized learning curriculum with those you serve to improve their social skills, money management, self- help, emotional regulation and other skills for daily living.

Skills Techs are responsible for providing support for patients who are unable to appropriately fulfill parenting and homemaking functions. Depending on the patient’s situation, you may also help patients learn to obtain basic necessities like food, housing and applying for and keeping important benefits like health insurance.

• Associates Degree or 60 undergraduate credit hours
• In lieu of degree, H.S. Diploma/GED and (5) years experience of related field

These clinicians provide evidence-based therapeutic services to an assigned caseload in individual, family, and group sessions. These services include mental health and addiction recovery assessments in outpatient settings.

Requirements
• Masters in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or other related field.
• Preferred Licenses includes LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, and LCAC.
Our Nurses administer medication and provide patient assessment services within interdisciplinary teams in our inpatient and outpatient settings. These professionals work alongside one of our Psychiatrists or Nurse Practitioners, and often a Medical Clinic Technician.

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) provides medical assisting services to patients in Bowen Center’s Outpatient and Health Clinic settings. The individual is responsible for assisting physicians, Advanced Practice Nurses, and nurses with delegated responsibilities. Driving between Bowen Center service locations may be required.

Patient Support Technicians work with an interdisciplinary team of nurses, psychiatrists and nurse practitioners to provide a safe and supportive environment for those patients on the Inpatient Unit. As a PST, you will be responsible for direct care, coordinating admissions, and telephone triage. These technicians often collaborate with social workers for upcoming discharges and setting up Outpatient services.

These support staff facilitate the essential functions and activities in our Transitional Living settings and Inpatient Unit. These providers offer direct patient care and ensure a safe and supportive environment.

Internships and practicums at Bowen Center provide the hands- on experience and exposure that today’s students are looking for before they graduate.
