Customer Personal Service

At John Deere, feeling

secure is not an option

Standard warranty promises that on

construction machines under 100

horsepower, we’ll fi x all failures due to

defect in material or workmanship for

the fi rst 12 months after delivery free of

charge. It also means that on construction

machines 100 horsepower and above, we’ll

fi x all failures due to defect in material or

workmanship for the fi rst six months after

delivery. And on forestry equipment, we

provide more standard warranty coverage

to meet the demands of the logging

environment. Again, at no charge to you

just for doing business with John Deere.

But these days, many machine owners

feel they need more protection. Extended

Coverage warranties are an excellent way to

protect your cash fl ow and minimize the risk

of doing business.

(3)

At John Deere, feeling

secure is not an option

John Deere also offers the

exclusive StructurAll

warranty

that goes above and beyond

the standard warranties on

non-CWP equipment. The StructurAll

warranty provides three years or

10,000 hours (whichever comes

fi rst) of “no-fear” coverage on

major machine structures as

installed at the factory free

of charge, including booms,

articulation joints, and

mainframes.

– It’s backed by John Deere Construction & Forestry

Company — and honored by all Construction and

Forestry dealers.

– Machines covered by an Extended Coverage

warranty can be taken to any North American

Construction and Forestry dealer for service.

– There is no deductible during the Standard Warranty

and a $200 deductible on non-powertrain repairs

during Full-Machine Extended Coverage.

– Standard or Extended Coverage warranty can be

transferred when you sell or trade your machine.*

– Financing is available through John Deere fi nance

programs.

*Some restrictions apply.

additional manufacturer-backed

warranty program that makes

good business sense:

(4)

Why it pays to extend

your coverage

Extended Coverage warranties provide

additional protection that shields you

from risk and stress. They are a valuable

management tool because they give you

fi xed costs for machine repairs over a given

period of time.

Feel secure about Certifi ed Used

Equipment

You can purchase Certifi ed Used Equipment warranty

from participating dealers. Here are the details:

– Requires completed machine evaluation.

– For construction equipment with less than 5,000

hours and newer than fi ve years old.

– For Commercial Worksite Products (CWP) with less

than 3,000 hours and newer than three years old.

– Covers powertrain only.*

– Three-, six-, or twelve-month coverage available

with unlimited machine hours.*

*

Additional coverage may be available; check with your participating dealer.

Owner responsibility

All you have to do is perform scheduled maintenance as

outlined in the Operator’s Manual and Extended Warranty

contract, and keep accurate maintenance records —

some-thing you do already.

(5)

Why it pays to extend

your coverage

Fluid analysis helps you reduce downtime, lower repair

costs, increase drain intervals, and save money. It keeps

you up-to-date on the condition of all your machine’s

major components and helps you make smart decisions on

machine maintenance before and after your Standard and

Extended Coverage expires.

John Deere requires fl uid analysis on most Construction &

Forestry machines with new Extended Warranty contracts

or extensions.

Make fl uid analysis part of your

maintenance program

(6)

Items not covered by Extended

Coverage Warranty:

– Ground-engaging tools such as cutting edges and bucket teeth. – Hydraulic hoses, lines, and fi ttings.

– Maintenance items such as oil and fi lters. – Hydraulic pressure checks and adjustments.

– Aftermarket attachments such as sweepers, drills, hammers, saws, delimbers, feller bunchers, etc.

– Wear items. – Miscellaneous items.*

– Damage to machine from abuse or misuse. – Collateral damage.

– Hauling expenses, travel time, mileage, overtime, or second-shift premiums.

* Batteries, tires, and radios come with a Direct Supplier Warranty that covers failure due to defective material and workmanship.

Extended Coverage is like putty in your

hands because you can mold it to fi t your

needs. Want full coverage on the machine,

or just the engine? Need 3,000 hours of

coverage, or would 5,000 make more sense

for the work you do?
