PRESENTATION OF ORGANIZING COMMITEE
From some fans of the bicycle borns the idea of combining their passion, sports, nature, culture, paying particular attention to the environment, other hikers and other people's property. In 2005, attracted by the great potential of the Mountain Bike, was founded the "A.S.D. Novagli Team Bike".
Novagli Team Bike was officially created the 20 of April 2005. It is a no-profit association, and it has as main purpose to provide a reference point to their members and all those who want to practice mountain biking in our area (Garda Lake and the zone of the "Colline Moreniche").
In 2007 Novagli Team Bike gets, for the first time in Montichiari (a village in Lombardia region, in north of Italy), the MTB show.
The event was hugely successful, so in 2008, Montichiari immediately enter into the hearts of all fans, imposing as the most followed mountain bike race in Italy.
But the most important aspect, is what happens beyond the barriers: Montichiari is one of the few races in Italy which brings the mountain bike directly to the people, offering the show of the “fat tires” in the historic center of the city.
Following this experience, we wanted to bring an international XCO race in the “heart” of Milan, in “Monte Stella” Park, knows as “La Montagnetta” (the Small Hill), a few underground stop from Duomo Square, in the commercial capital of Italy.
A previous event was held in 1998 with the participation of riders as Hubert Pallhuber (World Champion in 1997 and now Italian National Team Team Manager), Paola Pezzo (two times Olimpic Champion – Atlanta 1996 and Sidney 2000 and World Champion 1993-1997), Dario Acquaroli (U23 World Champion 1996), Luca Bramati, Miguel Martinez (Olimpic Champion 1996, World Champion 1997-1998-2000) and Bart Brentjes (World Champion 1995).

LOCATION
Milan is a city of 1,251,000 inhabitants, the capital of the Lombardy region. It ranks in the high Po
Valley (Pianura Padana) and is the second Italian city by number of inhabitants, the 13th city in the EU and the 19th of the continent and, with the urban area, the 3rd most populated metropolitan area in Europe behind London and Paris.
From 1 May to 31 October 2015 Milan hosted the Expo, with the slogan "Feeding the planet, energy for life"
In the cultural field, Milan from the 19th century the greatest Italian center in publishing and is at the top of the world music circuit, thanks to the opera season of the “Teatro alla Scala” and his long opera tradition.
It became "Italian economic capital" during the industrial revolution involving Europe in the second half of the 19th century, constituting with Turin and Genoa the "industrial triangle." From this time, and especially since the war, there was a strong process of industrial urbanization linked to the expansion involving also the neighboring cities, and was the main destination during the internal emigration period.
In the last century the city has stabilized its economic and productive role, becoming the largest Italian financial market; it is also one of the world capitals of fashion and industrial design, and has the most important Italian universities. According to "Top 20 Global Destination Cities" (Mastercard), in 2013 it appears to be the Italian city with the largest number of visitors, and the 12th in the world. Near Milan hosts one of the poles of the Milan Fair
