The Joint Technology Education District system includes 13 voter-approved,

districts in the state of Arizona. Along with state’s universities, its community

colleges, and primary and secondary schools, Joint Technology Education

Districts (JTED) are one of the four legs of Arizona’s educational system.

Each JTED has the unique challenge to prepare Arizona students for the highly competitive workforce. As a result of the efforts of the JTED system, more than 100 school districts throughout Arizona have the opportunity to provide innovative Career and Technical Education programs for students. Career and Technical Education programs provided by the JTED system present students an introduction to a vast array of career opportunities. Students develop skill sets that will propel them into careers that will contribute to a positive economic development in Arizona.

Business and industry support is a key factor in the success of the JTED system. This industry support ensures Career and Technical Education programs meet the current demands of today’s workforce.
