Hospital unlocks critical patient information
Trinitas Regional Medical Center is a Catholic teaching hospital that, like many healthcare providers, is facing the tough challenges of high operating costs and tight budgets. With its storage solution coming to the end of its lifecycle, the hospital needed a new home for the vast data produced by around 113,000 diagnostic imaging procedures a year. It also wanted to build more “information-driven” healthcare.
Trinitas deployed Dell Unified Clinical Archive, which caches images from the last five years on-site. Staff now have instant access to patient data — from new test results to historical files — so they can deliver faster diagnosis and treatment. It used to take a week to back up the image archive to tape, but Dell UCA speeds up the process and eliminates the risk of human error.
