This is a non-interest bearing account with a $9.95 monthly maintenance fee lowered to $7.95 monthly maintenance fee when you have $100 or more directly deposited into your account per statement cycle. Avoid a $2 paper statement when enrolled in eStatements.

Overdraft Protection - Prestige Coverage
If you have opted-in to River Valley’s SOS discretionary overdraft protection program, you will continue to have discretionary overdraft protection with German American with the following limits:
• Privilege Checking, Preference Checking, Worker’s Advantage Checking, or a Non-Profit or DBA account will be raised from $500 to $600.
• Advantage Checking will be raised from $800 to $1200. • e-Lifestyles Checking will be raised from $1000 to $1200. • Money Market accounts will remain the same at $1200. • If your limit is $300 with River Valley, it will be raised to $600.

Personal Account Conversion Details
Important dates:May 13th: Your personal accounts will convert to German American accounts at the close of business on Friday, May 13th. May 14th: River Valley offices will open as German American offices on Saturday, May 14th, operating regular hours of business. You will continue to use your current River Valley Debit Card or ATM Card through 8:00 a.m. eastern
time on Monday, May 16th.
May 16th: You will start using your new German American Check Card or ATM Card as early as 8:00 a.m. eastern time. You may enroll in German American’s Online Banking on or after Monday, May 16th.

Your current River Valley checking and savings account numbers will not change.
All of your direct deposits and automatic payments/transfers tied to your account(s) will see no interruption in service. Also, please keep using your current deposit tickets.
Reordering Checks
After depleting your supply of River Valley checks, please call us or visit any German American office to re-order your check supply. We will order your new supply of checks from our preferred supplier, Deluxe. Deluxe will ensure the quality of your checks and convert the River Valley routing number to German American’s routing number. If you use another check supplier, please contact us before ordering. We will provide you with a specification sheet which should be given to your supplier when placing an order. The sheet will include German American’s routing number 083904563 and the format for the entire MICR line.
Statement Cycles
Your final River Valley account statement will be processed and mailed to you at the close of business on May 13th. After May 13th, you can expect your new German American monthly statement, including check images, to be available to you on or near the same date your current River Valley monthly statement is available to you. e-Lifestyle account statements will process on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. Savings account customers will receive quarterly statements. For easy access to your check images, be sure to enroll in eStatements within German American’s Online Banking service on or after May 16th at germanamerican.com.
Reg CC Funds Availability Policy
German American will generally make your checking account funds available next day after day of deposit. However, longer delays may apply. Please see our Reg CC Funds Availability Policy in our Deposit Account Disclosures section in the Welcome Booklet.
Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) Coverage
If you currently have accounts at both River Valley and German American, contact our banking professionals to ensure you have the maximum amount of FDIC coverage available.
Loans
Your loan account number(s) will not change. Please keep using your River Valley coupon book(s) to make your loan payments with German American. If you have a loan payment automatically deducted from a River Valley deposit account, this payment will automatically transition to your German American account. Your loan payments can be made at any German American office throughout southern Indiana and Carrollton, Kentucky. You may also mail payments to: German American, P.O. Box 360, Jasper, IN 47547-0360.
Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) Checks
Please continue to use your River Valley Home Equity Line of Credit checks. In the future, if you need additional HELOC checks, contact us and we will order you updated German American branded checks. For ultimate
Personal Account Conversion Details
Check Cards and ATM Cards
River Valley customers will now have free access to a network of 58 German American ATMs located throughout southern Indiana and Carrollton, Kentucky (see Welcome Booklet for location listing).
On or after May 9th, you will receive your new German American VISA® Check Card or ATM Card. These cards will replace
your current River Valley Debit Card or ATM Card. Important Note About Your Check Card:
Since your card number will change, remember to switch any automatic or recurring charges made from your current River Valley Debit Card number to your new German American VISA® Check Card number.
Check Cards:
As part of our commitment to enhance the security of our products and services, we are pleased to tell you that all German American Check Cards are issued as chip-enabled cards, which provides enhanced security when used at a chip-enabled reader. Visit germanamerican.com/chip-card to learn more.
When you receive your new Check Card in the mail on or after May 9th:
• Activate your new card and set your PIN (Personal Identification Number) by following the instructions on the card label on or before Monday, May 16th. Continue to use your River Valley Debit Card through 8:00 a.m. eastern time on Monday, May 16th.
• Start using your new German American Check Card as early as 8:00 a.m. eastern time on Monday, May 16th. You can conveniently change your PIN by calling 1-800-992-6195 or use any of our ATMs located throughout southern Indiana and Carrollton, Kentucky.
School Spirit Check Card program:
If you currently carry a River Valley School Spirit Card, we are pleased to announce that German American will continue this program to raise funds for local schools. At this time, we are only able to issue one card design for each school corporation, so the card design you receive may be different than the design you currently carry. In mid-summer, we will offer you additional School Spirit designs in our offices.
ATM Only Cards: Your German American ATM Card replaces what you currently know as a River Valley ATM Card. • Be sure to watch for your new PIN (Personal Identification Number) to arrive in a separate mailing a few days
after you receive your new ATM Card on or after May 9th.
• Use your River Valley ATM Card through 8:00 a.m. eastern time on Monday, May 16th.
• Start using your new German American ATM Card as early as 8:00 a.m. eastern time on Monday, May 16th. You can conveniently change your PIN at any of our ATMs located throughout southern Indiana and Carrollton, Kentucky.
Online Banking, Bill Pay and Mobile Banking
If you are an Online Banking user with River Valley, please enroll in German American’s Online Banking by visiting germanamerican.com on or after May 16th. If you prefer eStatements, be sure to enroll each of your accounts in
eStatements at this time, too. For your convenience, a re-enrollment guide will be mailed to you in early May. This guide will walk you through the Online Banking enrollment process and explain the enhanced security features we offer our customers.
Bill Pay
Bill Pay is available within German American’s Online Banking system. Bill Pay users will need to re-enter their payment information in their German American Bill Pay service. We recommend you print your current Bill Pay vendor information for easy access to re-enter the information on May 16th. After you log into German American’s Online Banking on or after May 16th, click on the “Bill Pay” tab to access German American Bill Pay. You can then enter your bill payment information and begin paying your bills.
Mobile Banking
German American also offers you Mobile Banking. With Mobile Banking, you can transfer funds, make loan
payments, view transactions, deposit checks, pay bills and pay people. You may enroll directly into German American’s Mobile Banking on or after May 16th from your Smart Phone.
Please note that at this time neither eStatement enrollment nor eStatement viewing are available in mobile banking. You must enroll in eStatements within German American’s Online Banking system.

Prestige Select
$20 monthly maintenance fee if balance falls below $10,000. This is an interest bearing account with 6 interest rate tiers which pays you interest on your available balance. See the Rate Chart in the Deposit Account Disclosure located in your Welcome Booklet.
Small Business Checking
No monthly maintenance fee and no minimum balance. This is the ideal account for a business with fewer monthly transactions. Transactions between 1 and 250 are free. Transactions over 250 are charged a $.40 per item fee. This fee will be waived for the first six months.
As your business account transitions to German American, we will review your account after the first 6 months to determine if our Mid Tier Business Checking account may be a better fit for you. Our Mid Tier account is designed for a growing business with a modest number of monthly transactions. This account offers up to 600 transactions free per statement cycle. There is a $.25 per item fee for transactions over 600. With a $2,500 minimum balance or average of $10,000 collected in a statement cycle, you will avoid a $10 monthly maintenance fee. We will contact you if we determine that the Mid Tier Business Checking account may benefit you.

Business Account Conversion Details

Wire Transfers
If you use an incoming wire transfer service, you will need to provide the following information to the originator to use starting Monday, May 16th.
• Receiving Bank: German American Bancorp • Receiving ABA number: 083904563
• Beneficiary name, address and account number. If the beneficiary will need further handling instructions, those should be provided to the sending bank as well, such as “for final credit to,” “payment on invoice number,” or “credit account number,” etc.
For customers who initiate domestic and international outgoing wire transfers by call-in, faxes, e-mails, or Online Banking, we will contact you directly to activate a new funds transfer agreement form with German American. Our security process to release an outgoing wire transfer by these methods is a call back to an authorized name on your business account. The cut off for wire transfers is 4:00 p.m. eastern time.

• ACH origination or online wire transfer service • Multiple users
• Multiple business entities linked in your Online Banking Account
For your convenience, a re-enrollment guide will be mailed to you in early May. This guide will walk you through the Online Banking enrollment process and explain the enhanced security features we offer our customers.
If you require ACH origination service, online wire transfer service, multiple users or multiple business entities linked in your Business Online Banking account, you will be contacted directly by a German American Treasury Management Professional by April 29th to help you set up your Business Online Banking account.
Bill Pay
Bill Pay is available within German American’s online banking system. Bill Pay users will need to re-enter their payment information in their German American Bill Pay service. We recommend you print your current Bill Pay vendor information for easy access to re-enter the information on May 16th. After you log into Online Banking, click on the “Bill Pay” tab to access German American Bill Pay. You can then enter your bill payment information and begin paying your bills.

Bank by Telephone - 1-800-536-0660
German American’s BankLine 24 will be your new service for accessing your accounts by telephone. Please use the phone number 1-800-536-0660 starting Monday, May 16th, to access your German American account information. This free, convenient service is available to check balances, transfer funds, make loan payments, and more, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day from a touch-tone phone. The first time you call BankLine 24, you will use your account number and the last four digits of your social security number as your PIN.
Want to show your personality every time you pay? Upload your favorite photo to appear as the background on your Check Card. Show off your children, grandchildren, pets, family, new car...and more! Plus, use your Pure Personality Check Card anywhere VISA® is accepted...grocery stores, local shops,
department stores, gas stations, restaurants, and you can even get cash back at merchants. As with all German American cards, your Pure Personality Check Card will be chip-enabled. Visit germanamerican.com to upload your Pure Personality image.
