I.L.S., 1better known as International Language Services, is a language school based in Montreal with offices in Toronto, Quebec City, and Rimouski. Established in 1984, it offers courses in English, French, and Spanish. The Director of the Quebec office is Jeff Griffin. His main functions are to sell courses to potential clients and to evaluate new students. His assistant is Marise Emmanuelle, whose 2duties are to supervise the teachers and schedule courses.
3 employés à temps plein
Eight teachers work at the school as 3full-time employees. Four of them are English teachers. Of the remaining four, two teach French, while the other two teach Spanish. There are also two substitute teachers who come in from time to time.

The reception desk is at the entrance of the school, with a small waiting area near the door. As you can see by the floor plan, Jeff Griffin’s office 6is immediately behind the receptionist’s 7work station. Marise Emmanuelle’s office is next to the Director’s office. There is a total of four classrooms. All the teachers are assigned to a specific classroom. The Spanish teachers give their classes in Room 1; the French teachers work out of Room 2; and the English teachers have Rooms 3 and 4. There is also a conference room. This is often where new clients write their evaluation tests. Between the conference room and Room 4, there is a small cafeteria with a closet and 8storage area.

Jeff Griffin and Marise Emmanuelle usually work from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The receptionist, 9however, arrives at 8:00 a.m. and finishes work at 5:00 p.m. On the other hand, the school 10itself is open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. because courses are 11spread out over morning, afternoon, and evening as well. The majority of teaching hours is in the evening since most of the students work during the day and are only able to 12attend classes at night.
