In order to obtain an all-around scan of your object, you simply create single scans from different directions; the DAVID 3D Scanner software is able to align and fuse the scans into a textured 360-degree-model. The easiest and quickest method is by using our TT-1 turntable. The surface data can be exported in the following file formats .OBJ, .STL, and .PLY. This
allows you to import them into 3 party software for further processing, e.g. measurement,rd
milling or 3D printing.
Post-processing made easy
The DAVID 4 PRO software is the base of the DAVID software family.
Scans can be retouched, aligned and merged into a watertight 360° model with just a few clicks, after which they can be exported to common CAD formats (such as OBJ, STL and PLY), thereby enabling them to be imported into a wide variety of 3D programmes. The 3D data is stored to scale in mm, which makes it suitable for measurements, comparisons and 3D printing or CNC milling.
ENTERPRISE / SDK Software package
The top-of-the-range software package is the DAVID 4 ENTERPRISE version. Beside the well known DAVID features it offers you several measurement tools to make quality inspections. To automate those features, a main part of this version is DAVID SDK. It allows you to include DAVID into your own hardware/software environment. You can automate the scanning and analysis process, or wrap it into your own graphical user interface. Multiple scanners and client software can be distributed over various computers and operating systems, communicating via Ethernet or Internet.

The SLS-2 - latest member of our successful scanner family
This advanced model enhances the well proven structured light technology with significantly better handling. Never before it has been so easy to adjust a 3D scan system for scanning a wide range of objects of different features and sizes.
The scanner is mobile and can easily be positioned in front of the surface to be scanned. A single click in the well proven DAVID software starts the scanning process and a few seconds later the digitised 3D model appears on the screen – even the colours of the object can be optionally captured and reproduced in the resulting scan.
You are able to scan all of the sides of the object in succession and subsequently render an enclosed 360° model.
The 3D model can be exported to standard 3D file formats (such as OBJ, STL and PLY) and processed in other applications.
Easy to handle
The scanner system is delivered partially pre-assembled and can be set up in a few simple steps. When the scanner has been initially calibrated using the supplied calibration panels, all subsequent scans are performed easily with one mouse click each. The projector beams structured light patterns onto the scan object in a matter of seconds, which are detected by the camera and subsequently sent to the DAVID software. The DAVID software generates the 3D data immediately and displays it in the 3D viewer. This allows multiple views of the object to be scanned and saved in succession - all around, top and bottom as well as any shaded areas.
