SEEK Display Advertising Specifications

Submitting text and images that meet SEEK specifications helps us to promptly respond to your Display Advertising request & ensure that it appears on the SEEK site in a timely manner.

SEEK Advertisement Policy

Job Mail

Job mail is a Daily email alerting the right candidates to the right jobs. The Display Advertising is a text-only promotion that appears within the SEEK Job Mail.

What do I need to provide once I have purchased this product?

The text you would like to use, up to a maximum of 200 characters (including spaces and punctuation and the full http:// click through URL which you are directing people to.)

Eg. XYZ recruiting offers the results you are looking for. Find out more at http://www.xyzrecruiting.com.au

Please ensure you do not use:

Carriage returns and formatting such as colours, bolding and underlining.

Words that may trigger spam detection filters and prevent the Job Mail e-mails from being delivered. Avoid phrases such as 'work from home', 'financial freedom $$$' and 'the sky is the limit'.

An easy way to ensure that you do not exceed the 200 character limit is to create your text-only promotion in MS Word and use the 'Character Count' feature.

Display Banner advertising

High impact, brand awareness advertising targeted to the audience you choose.

There are two types of banners; leaderboard banners that run horizontally across the bottom decision making point of a page, and skyscraper banners that run vertically down the side of a page.

These banners run horizontally across the bottom decision making point of the page, on all job search results pages.

Eg.

Image specifications:

Pixel size: 728w X 90h

Image format: GIF (25K max)/Flash (35K max) SEEK Flash Specifications [PDF, 225 KB]

Skyscraper banners

These banners run vertically down the side of the job ad search results. They are located on the right hand side of the page.

Eg.

Image specifications:

Pixel size: 160w X 600h

Image format: GIF (25K max)/Flash (35K max) SEEK Flash Specifications [PDF, 225 KB]

A static or animated banner that meets the above specifications.

If you are providing a Flash creative, you must also provide a back up Gif. Banner image. Please refer to SEEK Flash Specifications for more information

If SEEK is building the banner for you, send through any images you would like included in the design in GIF or JPG format, accompanied by detailed notes relating to your preference for layout and content. Please note, additional charges do apply for SEEK to build your banner. Please contact your SEEK Sales Consultant for more information.

A click through URL must be provided; this is the web page that you would like users to be directed to when they click on your banner.

Advertisements must have a border and must not use transparent backgrounds.

Top 6 Recruiter Tiles

An advertising tile that appears on the SEEK Executive Zone. 6 positions available on a monthly basis.

Captures the attention of the jobseeker early in their job seeking process before your competitors do. Position yourself as an industry leader.

Target to active and passive jobseekers. Supports brand awareness and acquisition. Links through to a featured job.

Image format: GIF, JPG, no animation Image file size: 3 K

Text requirements: Up to 37 characters in total for the title and short description of a role, including spacing and punctuation. This text will appear on two lines (refer to the above examples). Please provide 18 characters for the first line & 19 characters for the second line (The 'Find out more' text is not included in your 37

character limit)

What do I need to provide if I have purchased this product?

Please provide your static image in a gif. Or jpeg. format, that meets the above specifications. If your tile does not meet the above specifications, we can assist in resizing this for you, but this may affect the quality of your image & impact your advertising going up on the site in time.

SEEK Advertisement Policy

All advertisements will be reviewed by SEEK and subject to approval by SEEK before placement on the site. Display Advertisements cannot be misleading to our users. For example the banner must not appear similar to a Windows error message, browser window or be for a fraudulent offer.
