After all configurations have been made and all testing is complete, go back into the
AudioCodes Configuration web interface to extract the INI file for safekeeping and
potential re-use on other gateways.

1. Using the web browser, open the configuration for the gateway.

4. In the Get INI file from the device to
your computer section, click Get ini File.

The customer and the reseller should both keep a copy of this file.
5. Click Save. The Save As dialog box appears.
When the download is finished, the Download Complete dialog box appears.
6. Type a descriptive name (for example,
192100100242Mk1000_gw_ISDN_
NI1.ini)
for the file and select secure location.Click Save.
You are returned to the Configuration File screen.

Restore a
Configuration
from an INI File
The following procedures allow you to configure a brand new gateway using the
settings from the old gateway’s ini file.
A bit of advice
These steps help ensure consistency and accuracy in the event you need to restore a
gateway (if the gateway is lost, damaged, or destroyed) or if you ever need to install
new gateways.

1. Follow the original BootP procedures to assign an IP address, load the firmware files to the new gateway and reset the new gateway.
(Use the same files coefficient files you did for your original gateway).

3. Log in as prompte.d
4. Click Advanced Configuration, and select Configuration File from the menu.
5. In the Send the ini file from the device
to your computer area, click Browse.

6. Select the correct INI file and click
Open.

7. Click OK to upload the ini file. The upload begins. A status bar below the Configuration File appears letting you know that the upload is in progress. NOTE The status bar does not provide
the results or the time remaining for the download. NOTE Also note, that when the
download is complete, the screen may flash and potentially display a Page Cannot Be Found message. If this occurs, refresh your browser screen.
8. Click Save Configuration from the menu at left.

9. Click the Save Configuration button. The configuration saves.

11. Click the Reset button and select the option to Burn.
The system begins its reset and displays a message indicating that it will take up to3 minutes to reset.
