Today, within our production facility, which occupies an area of over 100,000 sq m, our 3 continuous mills and 3 spray driers, driven by a natural-gas turbine, supply the 9 automatic hydraulic presses with 18,000 tonnes/day of raw material. These presses form our slabs in 8 different siz-es and 2 thicknsiz-esssiz-es 24 hours a day. 60 roller decorating units, with the aid of 5 automatic ink-jet digital decoration machines transfer our design onto the surface of the ceramic slabs and 4 natu-ral-gas computerized-control kilns fix the design at high temperature on the ceram-ic body, fusing them together forever. Our 2 cutting, polishing and grinding lines pro-cess over 1,000,000 sq m in the various surface types; 18 automatic laser-guided shuttles transport and handle 30,000 sq m of finished product/day from one de-partment to another, for a total output of 7,500,000 sq m/year distributed in all five continents of the world, with a turnover amounting to 95,000,000 Euro… but our desire to better ourselves even further is still the same as it was in 1962 when there were just 13 of us working inside a small 600 sq m building; that same desire that continues to prompt and motivate us day after day to upgrade our products, study and develop new production methods, create new designs and plan new sales and marketing solutions…thanks to all of you who support the commitment we dedicate to you on a daily basis with your consensus and backing.

Heute versorgen unsere 3 im Dauerbetrieb laufenden Mühlen mit 3 durch eine Erd-gasturbine angetriebenen Sprühtrocknern in unserem mehr als 100.000 qm umfas-senden Werk die 9 hydraulischen Pressau-tomaten mit 18.000 Tonnen Rohmaterial pro Tag. So werden unsere Platten rund um die Uhr in 8 verschiedenen Formaten und 2 Stärken geformt. 60 Walzen-Dekor-maschinen übertragen gemeinsam mit 5 Tintenstrahl-Digitaldruckautomaten unseren Stil auf die Oberfläche der Keramikplatten, und 4 erdgasbetriebene, computergesteu-erte Brennöfen fixieren und verschmelzen das Design mit hoher Temperatur für immer auf der Keramik. Unsere 2 Schneid-, Polier- und Rektifizierungslinien bearbeiten mehr als 1.000.000 qm Fliesen in den verschiedenen Oberflächenvarianten; 18 automatische, la-sergeführte Shuttlewagen bewegen pro Tag 30.000 qm fertige Fliesen von einer Abteilung zur anderen. Die in allen fünf Kontinenten vertriebene Gesamtproduktion beläuft sich auf 7.500.000 qm pro Jahr mit einem Ge-samtumsatz von 95.000.000 Euro... Unser Streben nach Verbesserung bleibt jedoch das von 1962, als wir nur 13 Personen wa-ren und in einer kleinen, 600 qm großen Halle arbeiteten, dasselbe Streben, das uns seit damals anspornt und motiviert, unsere Produkte jeden Tag zu verbessern, neue Produktionstechnologien zu erfinden und zu entwickeln, ein neues Design zu kreieren und neue Verkaufs- und Marketinglösungen zu finden. Aujourd’hui, à l’intérieur de l’usine couvrant une superficie de plus de 100.000 m2, 3 broyeurs continus et 3 pulvérisateurs ali-mentés par une turbine au gaz méthane, fournissent, avec 18.000 tonnes par jour de matière première, les 9 presses hydrauliques automatiques qui forment, 24 h sur 24, les dalles céramiques de 8 formats différents et de 2 épaisseurs. 60 décoratrices à rou-leau assistées par 5 machines automatiques d’impression numérique à jet d’encre trans-fèrent le style de notre marque sur la surface des dalles céramiques alors que 4 fours fonctionnant au méthane, avec contrôle informatisé, fixent à haute température le design sur la céramique et les assemblent pour toujours. Les 2 lignes équipées pour la découpe, le ponçage et la rectification produisent plus de 1.000.000 m2_toutes sur-faces et finitions confondues; 18 navettes automatiques laser guidées transfèrent et manutentionnent d’un atelier à l’autre 30.000 m2_{de produit fini par jour, soit un} total de 7.500.000 m2_{/an, distribués dans} les cinq continents du monde et constituant un chiffre d’affaires de 95.000.000 euros... Chez Piemme le souci de la perfection est resté tel qu’il était en 1962, époque où 13 personnes seulement travaillaient dans un petit hangar de 600 m2_{. Oggi, all’interno dello stabilimento che occupa un’area di oltre

100.000 mq, i nostri 3 mulini continui ed i 3 atomizzatori, alimentati

da una turbina a gas metano, riforniscono con 18.000 tonnellate

al giorno di materia prima le 9 presse idrauliche automatiche che

formano 24 h su 24 le nostre lastre in 8 diversi formati e 2 spessori.

Ben 60 decoratrici a rullo coadiuvate da 5 macchine automatiche

per la decorazione digitale a getto d’inchiostro trasferiscono tutto il

nostro stile sulla superficie delle lastre ceramiche e 4 forni a metano

a controllo computerizzato fissano ad alta temperatura il design sulla

ceramica fondendoli insieme per sempre.

Le nostre 2 linee attrezzate per taglio, levigatura e rettifica, lavorano

più di 1.000.000 di mq nelle varie superfici e finiture; 18 navette

automatiche laser guidate trasportano e movimentano da un reparto

all’altro 30.000 mq di prodotto finito al giorno per un output totale di

7.500.000 mq/anno distribuiti in tutti in tutti i cinque continenti del

Mondo con un giro d’affari di 95.000.000 di Euro... ma la nostra

voglia di migliorare rimane quella del 1962 quando eravamo solo

in tredici a lavorare all’interno di un piccolo capannone di 600 mq,

quella stessa voglia che da allora ci spinge e ci motiva ogni giorno

L’evoluzione tecnologica Italiana abbraccia la creatività

Italian technological evolution em-braces Piemmegres creativity.Thanks to the digital decoration process, Piemmegres can now express all its style without restriction, to give life to new products unconceivable until today. Any image or texture can be reproduced and transferred onto ce-ramic material, amplifying its expres-sive potential; endless graphic solu-tions make each slab different from the other. Die Evolution der italienischen Techno-logie macht sich auch in der Kreativität von Piemmegres bemerkbar. Dank des digitalen Verzierungsverfahrens kann die Firma Piemmegres jetzt ohne Einschrän-kungen ihren ganzen Stil zum Ausdruck bringen, um neue Produkte zu schaffen, die bisher nicht erzeugt werden konnten. Jede Abbildung oder Textur lässt sich neu bearbeiten und mit stärkerem Aus-druckspotential auf Keramik übertragen. Neue grafische Lösungen ohne Ende sorgen dafür, dass jede Platte anders aussieht, und somit ist nur die Qualität standardmäßig, aber nicht die Ästhetik und das Design. We at Piemme have always been strongly committed to research. Our sense of responsibility towards the fu-ture generations motivates us to strive towards a world made up of top-qual-ity products that last a long time and which are designed and made in an environment friendly way, so that we leave our children a nicer place to live in and set them an example to follow. Piemme is a member of the Green Building Council Italia and strong-ly supports the evolution of building towards ecologically sustainable de-velopment. In order to achieve this major goal, it is constantly engaged in upgrading its technologies and prod-ucts. To maximize the reduction in the consumption of natural resources and cut CO2 emissions into the atmos-phere, Piemme has implemented the following measures: recycling of ther-mal energy from kilns to operate spray driers, recycling of thermal energy from kilns to operate driers, reuse of waste thermal energy to heat the pro-duction departments; (this way emis-sions have been reduced equivalent to over 4200 tonnes/year of CO2), and a high-efficiency electricity pro-duction plant has been built featuring a natural-gas turbine.

Depuis toujours Piemme réserve à la recherche l’engagement le plus sé-rieux. Son sens des responsabilités vis-à-vis des générations futures l’incite à aller vers un monde fait de produits de haute qualité, durables, conçus et réalisés dans le respect total de la na-ture pour léguer à la postérité un envi-ronnement plus accueillant et lui laisser un exemple à suivre. Membre du Green Building Council Italia, Piemme soutient activement l’évolution du bâtiment vers l’éco-durabilité en s’investissant jour après jour pour rapprocher les tech-nologies et les produits de cet objectif important. Pour réduire le plus possible l’exploitation des ressources naturelles et les émissions de CO2 dans l’at-mosphère, Piemme a adopté plusieurs mesures: récupération de l’énergie thermique des fours utilisée dans les pulvérisateurs, récupération de l’éner-gie thermique des fours utilisée dans les séchoirs, revalorisation de l’énergie thermique récupérée pour le chauffage ambiant des ateliers de fabrication. Cela a permis d’éviter les émissions pour plus de 4200 tonnes de CO2 par an, de construire une installation de génération d’énergie électrique à haut rendement grâce à la présence d’une turbine alimentée au méthane. Um den Verbrauch natürlicher Ressourcen sowie die CO2-Emissio-nen in die Atmosphäre maximal zu sen-ken, hat Piemme folgende Maßnahmen ergriffen: Rückgewinnung der thermi-schen Energie aus den Brennöfen für die Sprühtürme sowie für die Trockner, Kraft-Wärme-Kopplung mit der Aus-schussverbrennung, um die Produk-tionshallen zu heizen (das vermeidet mehr als 4200 Tonnen CO2-Emissio-nen pro Jahr), und schließlich wurde eine Stromerzeugungsanlage in Betrieb genommen, die dank einer erdgasbe-triebenen Turbine einen extrem hohen Wirkungsgrad aufweist. Noi di Piemme dedichiamo da sempre la massima serietà alla

ricerca, il nostro senso di responsabilità verso le generazioni

future ci motiva ad agire nella direzione di un Mondo fatto

di prodotti di alta qualità, che durino nel tempo, concepiti e

realizzati nel pieno rispetto della natura, per lasciare in eredità

in atto le seguenti misure: recupero dell’energia termica dei

forni a favore degli atomizzatori, recupero dell’energia termica

dei forni destinandola agli essiccatoi, rivalorizzazione di energia

termica di scarto per il riscaldamento ambientale dei reparti

produttivi; (sono state così evitate emissioni per oltre 4200

tonnellate/anno di CO2), oltre all’attivazione di un impianto per

la generazione di energia elettrica ad alto rendimento grazie

ad un’avio turbina alimentata con gas metano.

Easy Tech Piemme is the new revolutionary Piemme porcelain stoneware self-laying floor; it requires no adhesives or surfacing. It is easy and fast and simplifies restructuring or modernization jobs in any public and private environment, drastically shortening installation times and cutting costs. No adhesives, jointing or other chemical products are needed because Easy Tech Piemme is completely self-laying and self-jointing, thanks to its special patented sheath which ensures stability and installation precision both on old floors and on levelled screed. Each sheet of Easy Tech Piemme porcelain stoneware features a special non-toxic and odourless sheath which acts as insulation between the old and new floor, favouring the waterproofing of the new walk-on surface. Each edge of the Easy Tech Piemme sheets is also protected by the same sheath, which provides a “seal” effect between one sheet and another, increasing the stability of the floor once this has been installed. Easy Tech Piemme is practical and quick to install and the high dimensional precision of each ground Easy Tech Piemme sheet ensures easy alignment, eliminating the need for the complicated male/female interlocking required by other systems; with Easy Tech Piemme, installation is quick, easy and precise, dust-free and without demolition. Caution: the existing screed and/or floor must be perfectly level, otherwise a soft panel (e.g. Ewifoam or similar commmonly available on the market) must be laid under the new “Easy Tech” floor to compensate for unevenness.
