Useful information for IJCAI-07 Delegates
HELP DESK at Hyderabad AirportIJCAI-07 Local Arrangements Committee (LAC) Secretariat and KW Conferences will be setting up 24hrs a day Help Desk at Hyderabad Airport from 5 Jan to 10 Jan 2007 for receiving IJCAI-07 delegates. Transport will be arranged with Airport pre-paid taxi service on payment by delegates. Those arriving before 5 Jan and after 10 Jan 2007 will have to book prepaid TAXI service, in arrival lounge at the airport operated by the Hyderabad Traffic Police. The fare to IIITH/Infosys Campuses (15 KM from Airport See Route Map below) is about Indian rupees (INR) 400/- (or USD 9). Reserve before you leave the arrival lounge against receipt by payment at counter. No cash to be paid to driver. Tips are optional.
Reaching IIITH/Infosys/HICC/NOVOTEL from the Railway Stations
IIITH/Infosys is 18 km and HICC/Novotel is about 15km from the railway station. The taxi would cost around 250/- and auto rickshaw (3 wheeler) would cost around INR 150/-There are pre-paid taxi/Auto rickshaw service booths at Secunderabad and Hyderabad Railway Stations.
Car Rental Services
Typically, you can rent a car for 4hrs/40 Kilometers (KMs) at USD10, INR 450/- and 8hrs/80KMs at USD20 INR 900/-, with additional charges for extra hours and distance. Rates can vary with the type of a car. Cheapest rates are for Non-AC Ambassadors and Tata Indica Taxis. Ask if the price includes the Driver’s tip.

Medical Facility
IIITH provides medical facility to IJCAI-07 delegates. The Doctors Mr. V S Krishna Kumar (Mobile:92474-46484) and Ms Syamala Kumari (Mobile:92474-46552) will be available in case of emergency, from 6 to 8 Jan 2007. From 9 to 12 Jan 2007, Emergency Management and Research Institute (EMRI, Toll Free Number (108) has agreed to provide ambulance services at the Conference venue (HICC).
