Trough chain conveyor.

The distribution and collection conveyor.

The Standard Line is the ideal solution for numerous applications at grain collection points, in raw goods reception, malting plants, breweries etc. Despite its compact size, the conveyor achieves high transport capacity due to its premium-quality plate link chain, while also providing gentle handling of granular and floury bulk goods. The Sanitation Line is designed to meet the strict hygiene require-ments in processing plants such as grain and animal feed mills. Bühler has equipped this special trough chain conveyor model with a self-cleaning return end and round link chain allowing it to comply completely with even the most stringent hygiene guidelines. Additio-nally, the automatic chain tensioning system guarantees operational reliability and shorter maintenance times.

Drop-forged chain links make the Heavy-duty Line extraordinarily rugged. A high loading capacity in combination with low wear and a sturdy design are just some of the features that guarantee the quality of this system.

Flexible modular system

Simple system configuration with standardized individual components for all applications, e.g. one-way or two-way transport, discharge hopper, inlet proportioning, etc.

Discharge flap gates, operated either electrically, pneumatically or manually as desired, can be installed at any position. Their shape guarantees excellent discharge results and minimal residues. Manual, electric or pneumatic slide gates are also available.

New machines are not necessarily the only solution. Instead, you can upgrade your current production system with Bühler’s state-of-the-art, product-specific retrofit packages.

Distribution and clearing conveyor for free-flowing products in flat storage applications.

Bühler‘s distribution and clearing conveyors enable uniform filling and discharge of flat storage compartments of any desired height. Rugged components such as travelling gear with friction wheel ensure disturbance-free system operation. In combination with sta-tionary or movable belt conveyors, distribution and clearing convey-ors make complex logistics systems possible.

In addition to the standard versions of the trough chain conveyor, Bühler offers numerous specialized models for other bulk goods that can be employed in many different areas of production.

Scraper Line

Distribution and clearing conveyors for high throughputs and demanding applications.

Incline Line

A combined horizontal and vertical conveyor.

Incline Line – horizontal and vertical conveying in a single system.

Combined horizontal and vertical conveying is the key function offered by this chain conveyor. Specially shaped chain flights across the entire cross-section of the trough allow for form-fit transport. In particular, the conveyance of sticky materials or transport between critical process steps during which the process itself cannot be interrupted (e.g. oil mills) are typical applications for the Incline Line. This chain conveyor is suitable for throughputs up to 480 t/h (wheat).

Elevators.

Convenient solutions for vertical conveying.

The Standard Line, with its comprehensive package of optional equipment, is capable of handling the majority of applications in silo and storage facilities. A split hood, inspection and cleaning ports on the boot and casings, and cleanout slides ensure easy cleaning and maintenance.

The inclusion of a round boot to minimize product residues in the conveying system, as well as the dust-tight design of the Sanitation Line, fulfill the strict hygiene requirements in processing plants such as flour mills.

The rugged design of the machine parts and the use of wear-resis-tant materials guarantee the long service life and high dependability of the Heavy-duty Line. These features make the Heavy-duty Line particularly suitable for high capacities and heights.

For procedural reasons, the elevation of products is imperative in nearly all silo facilities and processing plants. Thanks to their low energy consumption, eleva-tors supplied by Bühler are extremely economical in operation and are ideally suited for the vertical transport of bulk goods. Off-track detectors monitor belt position and indicate when disturbances occur.

Wear plates for parts subject to extreme wear and wear-resistant deflector plates for product redirection in the head are optionally available. Speed detector indicates cases of belt

slippage.

Elevators are available in a pressure shock-resistant version with round casings and a special head and boot design. Elements for pressure relief or explosion suppression can also be employed. Bühler offers certified explosion protection solutions for EU countries and non-EU countries such as Russia.

Belt conveyors.

Going the distance – gently.

The trough belt conveyor was specially developed for short dis-tances and lower capacities. Completely pre-assembled segments and lightweight construction allow for a particularly cost-effective investment.

Transporting large quantities of product over long distances presents a signifi-cant challenge to conveying systems. With belt conveyors from Bühler, such tasks can be handled reliably, gently and economically. Roller trough belt conveyors are designed for high capacities, long distances and continuous operation under maximum stress. The dri-ves, bearings, carrying idlers and belts were selected with durability in mind as well as their ability to cope with rough conditions.

The open design of the roller trough belt conveyor enables convenient, trouble-free maintenance. Available options include corrugated iron hoods or flexible rain covers for e.g. tripper.

Screw conveyors.

Proportioning with excellent sanitation.

Excellent sanitation, a compact design and flexible installation give this conveyor model outstanding application possibilities in processing plants, e.g. as a scale feeder in feed plants or for bin discharging in grain mills.

The trough screw conveyor is ideal for use as a collecting conveyor. A typical application is the flour collector in a grain mill. Bühler also offers a version with paddle screw which delivers excellent results in mixing or dampening, e.g. of wheat.

Paddle screw for conveying and mixing.

Hinged bottom cover for easy cleaning of screw and trough. With the optional height adjustment of the screw, the gap between the screw and the tube can be reduced to a minimum. As a result, only minimal product residues remain inside the conveyor.

Full-thread with constant screw pitch for transport or progressive screw pitch for uniform proportioning from silo bins.

Flexible modular system

Through targeted selection from among the various optional features, the screw conveyor can be optimized for about any given application. Additional components for all applications: trough or round inlet, level probe, filter plate, speed detector, axial or radial discharge, connection elements and gravity spouting.

Cleanliness in processing.

Great care taken during all stages of processing is a key condition for food and animal feed products of the finest quality.

Self-cleaning return end with automatic chain tensioning in the Sanitation Line.

Food-safe paints and surfaces, dust-tight and stainless steel versions as well as easy access for machine cleaning underscore Bühler’s high commitment to hygiene. Residues inside the machines are eliminated – ensuring the purity of the processed material during every phase of transport.

Choosing the right kind of surface treatment and corrosion protection plays a key role in ensuring the long service life of any conveying system.

While indoor systems generally come standard-equipped with powder coating, the components of outdoor systems are available in galvanized or with a suitable powder coating.

For use in mills and animal feed mills with especially strict hygiene and acid-resistance requirements, Bühler also offers special stainless steel models.
