Why You Want to Work The re

IT projects that support corporate goals and are cost-justified are approved by a cross-divisional and multidisciplined group at this health and insurance company, based in Oklahoma City. This focus lets IT manage resources effectively and ensures that efforts are expended in the right areas. A project portfolio management tool provides improved visibility and tracking of initiatives within the division. The company has adopted an updated project methodology based on agile development principles; several projects use the methodology, which blends with the company's project management philosophy and is incorporated into systems development. Perks aplenty The company also offers flexible schedules and alternative work hours, plus a fitness center with classes, a personal trainer and a host of equipment. The all-colleague bonus was instituted as the owner's way of saying "thank you" to all employees for helping the company achieve stated financial goals. IT staffers are recognized in front of executive and divisional management for their contributions. IT managers reserve a certain percentage of the division's budget for monetary awards for employees who exhibit outstanding performance in either systems work or customer service.
