Who can join the BlackBerry Enterprise Partner Program?

The BlackBerry Enterprise Partner Program is open to all organizations that are providing applications and services that enhance the value of the BlackBerry® solution.

Typical organizations that the program is designed to appeal to are:

Independent Software Vendors (ISV’s) who are focused in the enterprise space

Corporate Developers who are building non-commercial solutions

How does the program work?

There are three program tiers in the BlackBerry Enterprise Partner Program. Each of the tiers has no membership fee however some program offerings will be available at an additional cost. Further details on the program offerings can be found in the Program Offerings section of this document.

Membership Term

Your membership in the BlackBerry Enterprise Partner Program does not require annual, or any other term, renewal. Membership in the program is subject to terms and conditions that if violated could result in termination with notice. You are entitled to terminate your membership at any point.

As the BlackBerry Enterprise Partner Program has additional requirements for obtaining membership your account has not been automatically transferred over to our new program. As part of our launch activities we sent a communication to the primary contacts for all partners in our program. This communication contained instructions about registering for the new program. If this communication was overlooked then we would encourage you to follow the instructions for registering as they are listed in this document.

Email Communications

Prior to the launch of this program we sent out a communication to all the contacts in our program in order to confirm their desire to opt-in to our email communications. If you declined or did not respond then we will have sent no additional program communications. Program Eligibility

Requirements

Program eligibility requirements are based on meeting the Program Enrollment Requirements as outlined below.

Partners will enter the BlackBerry Enterprise Partner Program at the Silver tier upon initial Enrollment. Partners will then be eligible to advance to the Gold tier based on meeting one or more of the requirements noted in the Tier Eligibility Requirements. The Platinum tier is by invitation only and as such no requirements are listed.

About the Tiers

The program tiers are designed to meet your needs no matter where your solution falls in the maturity scale.

Silver: This tier requires very

little from you in order to qualify. Partners in this category would typically be those that are new to the BlackBerry® ecosystem.

Gold: This tier requires that you

have an offering that is already commercially available and has met with success in the marketplace.

Platinum : This tier is for partners

that bring strategic value to the

BlackBerry ecosystem.

Program Enrollment

Requirement Definitions

Complete Your Partner Profile It is important for us to know a little bit about both your organization as well as the contacts within it that will be interacting with us. This information helps us to customize content to your needs; to better engage with you; and to understand what your organization is bringing to the BlackBerry ecosystem. We ask that you not only provide this information upon registration but also to notify us when changes occur.

Execute a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)

Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) are designed to protect the exchange of confidential information between two or more parties. As part of the program there may be occasions where sensitive information, such as pre-release software, will be offered to you as a benefit of your membership. Prior to this exchange we ask that an NDA be in place.

Enterprise Partner Program Membership The partnership that we have with each of our program members is very important to us and we want to promote that partnership through offerings like the Enterprise Marketplace (subject to terms and conditions).

We feel that it is equally important that you promote your membership in the BlackBerry Enterprise Partner Program, on your organization’s website, through the use of your Enterprise Partner Logo as well as describing your BlackBerry offerings. Enterprise Marketplace Submission The Enterprise Marketplace is our mutual opportunity to highlight your organization’s application(s) or service offering(s) to current and prospective customers. Ensuring that you have an up-to-date solution profile is critical to our success in matching a customer need to a partner offering. While we would encourage you to maintain this profile proactively we may periodically perform a review of any Enterprise Marketplace profile to ensure accuracy.

Customer References

Customer references highlight success with the BlackBerry solution and spotlight the innovative ways you and your customers work together. Submitting a customer reference means providing the name, company and contact information of a customer who is willing to provide a reference about their experience with using your application and services with the BlackBerry solution.

Before submitting a customer reference you must ensure that you have

permission from your customer to use them as a reference as they may be contacted to verify that they have agreed to participate.

All customer references are required to be companies that are legally

independent of the Member organization submitting the reference. This ensures independent, third-party validation of all references.

The same customer company can be used for more than one customer reference as long as each individual reference is for a different, unique project, and you provide a different customer contact.

A solution or service that supports BlackBerry 10 can include, but is not limited to, the following:

Typically they will be deployed to the Work Space via the BlackBerry Enterprise Service. In some instances they could also be available in the BlackBerry® World™ storefront.

Application(s) Supporting Secure Work Space for iOS or Android

With BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 customers can manage applications not only on BlackBerry 10 but also iOS® and

Android™ through our Secure Work Space. Secure Work Space is a containerization, application-wrapping and secure connectivity option that delivers a higher level of control and security to iOS and Android devices.

Product Access

Device Discounts

We understand that it is important for you to have access to the right devices in order to develop; test; and showcase your applications and solutions. That said, it’s not always cost effective to purchase devices either on contract through a wireless provider or at off-contract pricing. For that reason, we want to offer you special pricing on off-contract (unlocked) BlackBerry devices. These devices are the same in-market devices that are available to the general public and your customers. This program is only available to partners located in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany.

Silver Members: Device discounts are

available for in-market devices. Quantities will be limited.

Gold Members: Device discounts are

Platinum Members: Device discounts are

BlackBerry 10 OS Software In developing and testing your

BlackBerry 10 compatible applications, it is important that you have access to the same device software that your customers are using.

Silver Members: Access to publically

released software is included in this level.

Gold Members: Access to publically

released software is included in this level. Access to pre-release software may sporadically be included in this level subject to additional terms.

Platinum Members: Access to publically

Device Loaners

We know that when you’re developing your application or solution there are times when you need access to an actual physical device for your development and testing activities. At the same time we also know that it can get quite costly to purchase a separate device for each and every smartphone model. The Device Loaner Program helps you ensure that you have the tools you need for development and testing on BlackBerry. This program gives you access to all recent in-market BlackBerry smartphones.

This program is only available to partners located in the United States, Canada, and most European Union countries. For program members in these regions you can borrow up to 10 devices at a time for up to 60 days.

Silver Members: The Device Loaner

Program is available at no additional cost. This tier has access to in-market devices only.

Gold Members: The Device Loaner

Program is available at no additional cost. This tier has access to in-market devices only.

Platinum Members: The Device Loaner

Program is available at no additional cost. This tier has access to in-market devices only.

BlackBerry Enterprise Service Evaluation We recognize that those partners who are developing applications or solutions that utilize our MDM software may find that the cost of obtaining software and licensing can be quite high. For that reason we offer you the chance to purchase a not for resale evaluation version of our MDM software for a fraction of the market cost.

Service 10 software, with either BlackBerry 10 licenses or BlackBerry 10 and Secure Work Space licenses, is available at an additional cost.

On a regular basis we will deliver webinars that keep you up to date on the latest offerings from BlackBerry. This will ensure that you have the knowledge you need to speak authoritatively about BlackBerry products as it pertains to your own offerings. They will also give you an opportunity to interact directly with our product experts that will be speaking about our offerings.

Silver Members: Webinars are available but

may require an NDA in some cases.

BlackBerry Certification

The BlackBerry 10 Certification Program is an industry standard in excellence that is designed to validate your level of skill and knowledge of specific BlackBerry 10 and BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 products and services. BlackBerry 10 Certification can help set you apart in the competitive world of mobile devices and mobile device management.

BlackBerry Certification is available for the following roles:

Certified BlackBerry 10 Helpdesk Specialist

Certified BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 System Administrator

Support and Training

BlackBerry Partner Support Services With BlackBerry Partner Support Services (BPSS), you get direct access to BlackBerry experts and resources and can escalate calls to us whenever the need arises. You maintain – and strengthen – the relationship with your customer. Depending on your business model you can choose from Incident Based; Tier 2 or Tier 3 support.

If you have questions about the BPSS program then just send an email to our team at [email protected].

BPSS provides technical support of BlackBerry products such as BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10; BlackBerry handhelds; BlackBerry handheld/desktop software and BlackBerry produced applications (e.g. BBM™; BlackBerry Maps). This level of service will typically provide best effort support for 3rd party applications and no support for development of 3rd party applications.
