WHO WE ARE

We source the finest hand-made cured meats from artisan producers around Britain for retail and wholesale. We also run a ‘Meat School’ and cater for private events.

At those events, our meats are more often than not the focus. But because we are based at Borough Market, we have a close network of fine food producers giving us access to the very best British breads, cheeses, preserves, fresh vegetables and fruit.

What we can do for you

• Buffet style catering for parties

• Served platters of artisan meats and cheeses

• Tutored talk and tasting of artisan British cured meats in your venue or at ours

• Mini artisan market in your office/home/studio

• Corporate days out at our Meat School facility in Borough Market including bespoke talks, tastings and classes

See following pages for more detail and prices

A bit of background

Over the last two years we have been approached by a wide range of organisations who have asked us to cater for their events.

We’ve catered Paul Smith fashion shows, a London Olympics athlete party, a sculpture gallery launch, the launch of a new craft beer, an awards ceremony, and have created an entire mini farmers market in an Architect’s office.

The feedback has been very good and we thought we’d offer our events and catering more widely. Please do request references and testimonials should you wish to see what our clients have had to say about our events so far.

DETAILS AND PRICES

Buffet style catering

Do you require finger food for a corporate event or large private party? We may well be the complete solution.

We will dress and present a table heaving with Britain’s finest hand-made produce with a knowledgeable staff member on hand to slice, serve and inform.

Our specialty, of course, is in providing a selection of British cured meats. These are served with pickles, fruits, and locally baked bread. However, we also often pair these with artisan British cheeses too, and can source and deliver other delights, such as London smoked salmon, Ginger Pig pies, and amazing tarts and cakes too.

The minimum number of guests is 50 and we regularly cater for more than 250, but we can normally find something to suit any size of event.

A typical package will include:

• Five different types of British cured meats – well balanced to suit your needs, interesting and all delicious

• Freshly baked sourdough bread • Pickles and fruits

• Two artisan British cheeses

Prices range from £7 to £15 per guest. We will work with you to put together the best offer for your budget, in keeping with the needs of your event.

We can simply deliver the ingredients for your event, however we have found that it is preferable to provide you with at least one member of staff who will dress the buffet table, keep it stocked, serve and be on hand to answer questions about the produce. They will also pack up and clean down the buffet section.

Serving staff cost £10 per hour per worker. Transport of staff and produce to and from the event location will be charged at cost price, in addition to the fee.

Served platters of artisan British cured meats and cheeses

If your event requires pre-prepared food for quick distribution, consider our served platter offering.

We will put together a platter showcasing the very best of British hand-made produce to be served platter style to your guests.

These packages are similar to the Buffet style catering option, save the meat is portioned for platters that can be walked round your event.

Platters start at £8 per person

We can provide platters or serving ‘boats’ and staffing as appropriate

This option always requires at least one member of our serving staff to prepare the platters. Serving staff cost £10 per hour per worker. Transport of staff and produce to and from the event location will be charged at cost price, in addition to the fee.

Mini artisan market in your office/home/studio

For large parties and conferences we can arrange a full replica farmers’ market at your venue. Guests will be able to move freely around the stalls sampling and filling their plates with wonderful artisan produce whilst also learning about the specific products.

We will collate and build four stalls in your space showcasing four producers from London’s vibrant farmers’ market scene. Each stall will be individually branded and staffed with a trader.

Your fee will cover the produce cost so your guests will be able to circulate around the stalls

with their plate, eating what they wish and interacting with our traders. The traders create a lively and vibrant atmosphere, encouraging people to move through the space to taste and learn as they wish.

Prices start from £4000 for a complete market (4 stalls) including staffing costs.

There will be food for up to 250 people, though we can of course cater for many more as required (at an additional cost).
