Argosy University has operated in Washington State since 1999. It is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges – Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and
Universities (WASC-ACSCU). Nature of the review:
Prior to granting authorization to offer new degree programs in Washington State, the Washington Student Achievement Council/Degree Authorization reviews elements such as program outcomes, course requirements, method of course delivery, faculty credentials, and student services.
The programs to be offered by Argosy University appear to meet the requirements of the Degree-Granting Institutions Act.

The Council will accept comments on this application until June 5, 2013.
Any individuals with knowledge that may indicate the institution and/or the program does not meet the authorization requirements of WAC 250-61 are requested to submit comments to:

“The Associate of Science (A.S.) in Information Technology degree program is designed to prepare students for entry-level technology jobs working with computers, applications, and networks. Courses within the A.S. in Information Technology program introduce students to fundamental technology concepts and allow learners to develop with real-world skills. Through the program’s core courses, students will have the opportunity to develop foundational skills in hardware, software, networks, business, and communication. Through the program’s
concentration courses, students will have the opportunity to develop specialized skills within one of the following fields: computer and network security, web development, computer networks or project management.”

Through the program’s core courses, students will have the opportunity to develop foundational skills in database operations, operating systems, networking, and security, as well as cloud computing, virtualization, and mobile computing. Through the program’s concentration courses, students will have the opportunity to develop specialized skills within one of the following fields: computer programming, computer security, web development, database administration and development, entrepreneurship, network and system administration or project management.”
