BI360 Modules & License Descriptions
BI360 is a Business Intelligence Suite with four integrated modules. Below you will find explanations of the modules as well as user licenses and add-on components available. For further information, contact Solver at [email protected].
An Excel- and web-based report writer focused on empowering the business user. With an intuitive ‘drag and drop report design’, it has ‘out-of-the-box’ integrations to many major ERP systems (Dynamics, Sage, others…) as well as to the BI360 Data Warehouse. Custom integrations can also be built to create ‘live reporting’ off of almost any SQL Server based data-source.
Report Design
BI360 Report Designer
Foundation - (incl. 1 user)
The report writer application base foundation.
The BI360 Report Designer Foundation comes with the base reporting application and includes one ‘Designer’ user. With this product, the one user can design reports, run/generate reports, view reports and drill down to underlying detail.
- Works with Microsoft Excel 2007 or newer Excel versions.
BI360 Report Designer Users
Additional User licenses

BI360 Report Player Users
Additional User licenses
The BI360 Player license is a simple Excel add-in used for end-users that only need to run reports (not design reports) and drill down to underlying detail for analysis.
The BI360 Player users can also use the BI360 Portal (see section later in this document) where they can run reports and view dashboards
- Works with Microsoft Excel 2007 or newer Excel versions.
Report Analysis (Ad-Hoc)
BI360 Report Composer
Basic version (incl. 1 user)
Ad-hoc reporting tool for drag and drop queries. It is a standalone license, separate from the Designer/Player licenses, and is the one piece of BI360 Reporting that is not Excel-based. The Composer can be used to create ‘ad-hoc analysis reports’ for on-the-fly insight. It can also be used as a wizard to quickly build unformatted reports that can be exported into Excel-based templates to be further formatted and refined using BI360 Report Designer.
BI360 Report Composer Users
Additional Users
These are additional ad-hoc users of the BI360 Composer. See above description for details.
Multi-Company Reporting
BI360 Multi-Company Reporting
(2-4 companies)
This module enables you to consolidate companies (merges individual company information, set up in separate databases in your ERP, into a single table in the ERP database) in order to design and run consolidation reports across companies (2 – 4 companies). This module is used to enable consolidation reports without the use of the BI360 Data Warehouse.
BI360 Multi-Company Reporting
(5+ companies/clients)

consolidation reports without the use of the BI360 Data Warehouse.
Report Generation/Distribution/Publication
BI360 Report Publisher
BI360 Report Publisher is an add-on module to BI360 that allows users to automate the generation and publication of reports. Users are able to specify various aspects of report publishing including, but not limited to, the following. Identify report recipients (Email addresses of decision makers). Multiple Report formats (Excel, PDF, HTML, etc…).

BI360 Office Publisher is an add-on module to BI360 Reporting. It is a publishing tool that allows users to bring reports and charts from Excel into Word or PowerPoint, on a regular basis (i.e. quarterly/annual reports, budgetbooks, board room presentations, etc….).
With BI360 Office Publisher users can tag any report or text in Excel (i.e. a
BI360 report) for automatic transfer into in a Word document or PowerPoint
Other Data Connections
BI360 Database Connector
For connecting BI360 Reporting to other data sources beyond the initial ERP system.
The Connector ‘connects’ BI360 Reporting to a pre-defined data source (i.e. ERP), allowing you to design and run reports on that data source.
BI360 Report Designer Foundation comes with ONE ‘Connector’ of your choice. This is the Connector to the primary source (ERP, CRM, etc.) for which you initially purchased BI360 to report on.
ADD-ON CONNECTORS:
1. An additional Connector is NOT required to be purchased when
connecting and reporting on the BI360 Planning Module. The connector is already included with the Planning Module.
2. If you wish to report on data beyond the initial data-source, an
additional ‘Connector’ will need to be purchased. (i.e. To connect BI360 Reporting to ‘another system’ (beyond your initial ERP) or to the BI360 Data Warehouse you will need to purchase an additional ‘BI360 Connector’).
Example: if you purchase BI360 Reporting for ERP #1, and wish to use BI360 Reporting to report on data in your CRM system plus in the BI360 Data
Warehouse, you will need to purchase 2 ‘additional’ connectors. 1 connector is
included with BI360 Reporting (for your 1st ERP), while the other 2 purchased
connectors would connect to the CRM and Data Warehouse.
NOTE: You do not have to repurchase another BI360 Reporting Foundation module to report on other data sources; simply purchase the additional ‘connector’ to connect your additional source to BI360 Reporting.
BI360 Meta Data Designer
The Meta Data Designer is a separate BI360 module that enables organizations to customize the ‘live’ integration between the BI360 Reporting module and the ERP database. It can be used by partners or customers who wish to add BI360 integration to ‘custom’ fields and tables that they have created within their ERP database. Upon doing so, these ‘custom’ fields and tables appear in the BI360 Reporting navigation pane to be able to add to ad-hoc or presentation quality reports.
The Meta Data Designer may also be used to integrate BI360 to any ERP or other data-source to which BI360 is not currently integrated.
An Excel-based planning, budgeting, modeling and forecasting solution aimed at streamlining the planning process. It also offers workflow, advanced spreading, graphics, line item detail, text comments, approvals and more. It includes a preconfigured ‘budget database’ (SQL Server-based) with an import wizard (CSV/Excel imports), allowing you to import data from any source (i.e. actuals from ERP, payroll from external application, etc…).
Planning Administration
BI360 Planning
Foundation - (incl. 1 Online User)
This is the planning and budgeting application base foundation. The BI360 Planning foundation comes with the base budgeting application, and includes one ‘Online Planning User’.
The Planning Foundation with one ‘Online Planning User’ can:
Set up the planning/budget environment
Run/refresh a budget form
Enter budgets
Save plans/budgets to the budget database
Run budget reports.
Create and run budget models
SPECIAL NOTE: If you are only using BI360 Planning for budget related
data and processes then the BI360 Data Warehouse is NOT required to be purchased along with BI360 Planning. The budgeting tables, in the data warehouse framework, are included in the purchase of BI360 Planning.
- Works with Microsoft Excel 2007 or newer Excel versions.
Plan/Budget Form & Report Design
See BI360 Report Designer User
BI360 Planning utilizes the BI360 Reporting Designer Foundation and Designer Users to design budget forms/reports.REQUIRED: When purchasing the BI360 Planning Module, a BI360
Report Designer Foundation (incl 1 Designer User) must also be purchased since the budget and reporting modules both use the same 'Report Designer' technology and user licenses to 'design and run' budget forms as well as reports.
BI360 Report Designer (Foundation) comes with ‘1’ designer user license. If more than 1 person will need to design budget forms
Plan/Budget Input & Approval
BI360 Planning – Online user

Take the report offline, enter budgets, synch and save it to the BI360 Budget Database.
Each ‘Online’ user license includes a bundled BI360 Report Player license with the ability to refresh budget forms and run/drill down on reports.
NOTE: Online users cannot design budget forms or reports since they are not ‘designer’ users. If users wish to ‘design’ budget forms/reports, see the ‘Plan/Budget Form & Report Design’ license section above for details. - Works with Microsoft Excel 2007 or newer Excel versions.
BI360 Planning – Distributed user
Additional Users
These are additional ‘Planning/Budget Users’ of the BI360 Planning module as well. These users are ‘Planning End users’ only (no administrative or report running privileges).
Each ‘Distributed’ user license has the ability to…
Enter plans/budgets into a budget form ‘distributed to them’*
Save entered budgets to the BI360 planning/budget database
Option to simply enter budgets into distributed budget form after the administrator has taken the form ‘offline’ and send the form back to the administrator for saving to system. The feature to enter values into an ‘offline’ form and have it ‘synchronized’ back to BI360 is available due to the unique nature of the BI360 budget form (versus a plain or standard Excel spreadsheet).
A preconfigured SQL Server-based data warehouse, BI360 Data Warehouse enables companies to consolidate data from multiple data sources into one database (the data warehouse). This enables streamlined reporting and analysis using the BI360 Reporting solution, BI360 Dashboards or Microsoft or third party business intelligence tools that supports the SQL Server platform. It includes 7 preconfigured modules (GL, AR, AP, Revenues, Assets, HR, and Project) plus 5 ‘open’ and ‘self-definable’ modules (import ANY type of data you wish). BI360 Data Warehouse also includes advanced currency conversion as well as a business rules engine for consolidations, eliminations, KPI management and more.
