Inverter drives 8400

Training modules are available for start-up, commissioning & application, and service training. These cover the use of L-force Engineer software

Servo drives 9400

Additional modules for the 9400 servo series cover CAM profiler software, the Servo PLC variant and the modular safety options.

Standard training modules are set for three target groups:

- Start-up training to introduce products, solutions and systems.

- Commissioning and application training to speed up the design and build process - Service training giving practical knowledge that keeps your machine running

You can choose from the standard modules or we are happy to mix and match a customised training for your par-ticular requirements. Dates and venues are also flexible, please discuss your needs with our trainers.

The ideal choice right from the start: our one-day start-up training courses give you a quick and very practical introduction to what our products, solutions and systems can do for you. Knowing this will make it easy for you to make the best choices when you implement your machine concept.

Getting your machine operating quickly: technical expertise is essential for suc-cessfully implementing your ideas. In our commissioning and application training for systems you will get to know our products and software in more detail – for seamless application and smooth operation.

Safeguarding operation in the long term: our service training will equip you with the practical knowledge you need for reliable machine diagnostics and rapid trou-bleshooting. And for the worst-case scenario, you will learn how to replace faulty elements quickly and make your machine ready for operation once again.

Terms of training

Registration and participation conditions, fees Training Schedule:

We operate a flexible training schedule - course dates are usually set to meet customer requirements. Please con-tact us to discuss your needs at [email protected]

Fees

The fee for training courses is £400 per day and participant. The fee covers participation in the training, provision of comprehensive training documentation on a USB stick, as well as the training apparatus, a participation certificate, drinks during breaks and lunch.

In some cases we are able to run the training course in your premises. In that case travel expenses for the trainer will apply. Please discuss your requirements with us.

Portable drive demonstration cases may be available for customers use at a fee of £60 per week.

Once we have received your registration, we will send you a written confirmation of your participation.

You will then receive the final invitation to the training with all the relevant details four weeks prior to the start of the respective course. We can assist you with hotel reservations.

Cancellation

Participants may cancel up to four weeks before the start of training at no cost. Any cancellations made after this deadline will be charged at half the regular fee for attending the respective course. It is also possible to nominate a substitute participant at no extra cost.

Training documents may not be duplicated or distributed to third parties without written permission.

Liability

Lenze reserves the right to cancel training sessions in the event that an insufficient number of participants register for the training in question or for other reasons. Lenze also reserves the right to change the dates and times of train-ing sessions. However, in such cases we will always offer you alternative times/dates.

Lenze does not accept any liability

• for information provided during the training sessions

• for any damage or consequential damage that may result from the training sessions

Safety instructions

Participants are required to comply with the safety instructions provided for them at each laboratory workstation.

All of our training sessions start at around 9.00 am and end at around 4.30 pm.

Start-up training

Inverter Drives 8400 start-up

Target group: Machine and system manufacturers

Decision makers and staff members, for example from the areas of electrical engineering/design, drive technology and project planning, who are keen to gain an overview of the Inverter Drives 8400 and some initial experience of their own.

Objective

To obtain an overview of the technology and functionality of the Inverter Drives 8400. In guided and supported exercises on our training equipment, you will gain some initial practical experience in applying the Lenze engineering software.

Objective

To obtain an overview of the technology and functionality of the Servo Drives 9400. In guided and supported exercises on our training equipment, you will gain some initial practical experience in applying the Lenze engineering software.

Objective

The participants will be capable of independently configuring the Servo Drives 9400 with the application Electronic CAM Profiler, implementing applications and starting up the system. They will also gain application oriented knowledge of how to effectively operate Lenze’s Engineer engineering software.

Prerequisite for attending this training:

• Participation in the training “Servo Drives 9400, Commissioning and Application”.

• Basics of CAM-technology

• Application examples about “CAM-technology” • Introduction to the application “CAM-profiler” • Usage of different CAM profiler functionalities

• Additional parameterisation and configuration of the application with the Engineer Software • Practical exercises on the training equipment

Commissioning and application training

Servo Drives 9400: Servo PLC

Target group: Machine and system manufacturers

Alongside the functionality of a servo inverter, the 9400 Servo PLC also offers the properties of a PLC that can be programmed using the industry standard IEC 61131-3. This training is aimed at persons who need to be able to configure and program 9400 Servo PLCs.

Objective

During the training, the participants will familiarise themselves with the application options of the 9400 Servo PLC. The participants will then be able to program and commission the 9400 Servo PLC using the PLC Designer programming environment.

Prerequisites for attending this training:

• Detailed knowledge of how to use the Servo Drives 9400 HighLine

• Programming knowledge in line with IEC 61131-3 or comprehensive experience in the field of PLC programming

Training content

• Overview of the hardware and software structure of the 9400 Servo PLC

• Presentation and application of the Engineer and PLC Designer software products • Diagnostics options

• CANopen fieldbus communication

Servo Drives 9400: Safety Engineering

Target group: Machine and system manufacturers

This training is aimed at persons from the fields of project planning, electronics development, application and commissioning, who wish to use the safety modules of the Servo Drives 9400, integrate them into their machines and systems and adapt them to their applications.

Objective

The participants will be capable of configuring the Servo Drives 9400 independently with safety modules, imple-menting applications, commissioning the systems and ensuring service.

This training builds on the “Servo Drives 9400: Commissioning & Application” course.

Training content

• System presentation/introduction to the SM100 and SM301 safety modules • Background information on safety engineering

• Parameter setting and configuration • Commissioning, diagnostics and service • Practical exercises on the training equipment

PLC Designer Introduction

Introduction to PLC Designer and IEC 61131-3 programming

Target group: Machine and system manufacturers

This training is aimed at persons from the fields of development, application, commissioning and service, who are keen to work with

PLC-Designer V3 and gain some basic knowledge of IEC61131-3 programming.

Objective

The participants will gain technical knowledge on how to apply, program, commission and use the diagnostics options of PLC Designer. They will learn the basics of how to use this product and perform IEC61131-3 programming.

Training content

• Introduction to controller 3200 C and p500 and the I/O System 1000 • Structure of PLC Designer V3

• Standard project with I/O mapping, connecting to the controller • Project settings/-download, boot project, source code up-/download • Using libraries and the device repository

• Presentation of variable & data types, POUs (program, function block, function), tasks, persistent & retain varia-bles

• Using monitoring, variable forces, overwriting, trace, text list, logbook

• Introduction to IEC61131-3 programming languages, focusing on the FUP languages and structured text • Using basic data structures

Motion Control

Introduction to controller-based Motion with the i700 servo inverter

Target group: Machine and system manufacturers

This training is aimed at persons from the fields of development and application, who integrate automation systems with the i700 servo inverters and 3200 C or p500 controllers into their machines and systems and create motion applications.

Objective

The “Motion Control” training is an engineering-oriented system and application training course. The partici-pants will gain basic knowledge of how to test, evaluate and implement applications. The training creates the basis for participants to independently extend their system knowledge within the scope of projects.

Note

Participants should ideally complete the “ PLC Designer Introduction” training module to ensure that they have the necessary knowledge before attending this course.

• Introduction to 3200 C and p500 controllers, I/O System 1000, controller-based motion & PLC Designer • Introduction, configuration, commissioning of i700 servo inverters, SoftMotion and EtherCAT fieldbus • PLCopen blocks, motion and visualisation projects

• Positioning with the FB-AxisBasicControl and “Application Sample i700” • The PLCopen motion functions: homing, electrical shaft, cam and brake • Lenze touch probe function blocks

Commissioning and application training

FAST Application Software

Introduction to controller-based FAST Application Software with i700 servo

Target group: Machine and system manufacturers

This training is aimed at persons from the fields of development and application, who are keen to integrate their machines and systems from a software perspective and create complex motion applications with technology modules in standardised software and project structures.

Objective

The “FAST Application Software” course focuses on engineering-oriented application training. After completing the training, participants should be

capable of applying the technology modules and the FAST Application Template, as well as

understanding and exploiting their added value in a standardised software and project structure. The training creates the basis for participants to independently extend their knowledge within the scope of projects.

Prerequisite for attending this course:

Participation in the Lenze Motion Control Training

Introduction to Lenze VisiWinNet Smart with the 3200C/p500 controller Target group: Machine and system manufacturers

This training is aimed at persons from the fields of project planning and application, who are keen to program, commission and integrate automation systems with VisiWinNET® Smart into their machines and systems.

Objective

The participants will be capable of independently configuring automation systems using VisiWinNET® Smart, as well as implementing and commissioning basic applications.

• Connection to the controller

• Overview of VisiWinNET® Smart and further product versions • Introduction

- to VisiWinNET® Smart Editor and the Project Wizard - to Form Designer and project configuration

- Defining internal and external (controller) variables and user controls - Creating cross-references and performing troubleshooting

- Managing and switching between multiple languages - Using alarms, trends and formulae

FAST Application Template OMAC

Target group: Machine and system manufacturers

The training is aimed at persons from the fields of development and application, who are keen to integrate their machines and systems from a software perspective and to use standardised software and project structures, as well as defined Application Templates.

Objective

The “FAST Application Template OMAC” training is software-oriented application training. After completing the training, participants should be capable of using the Lenze FAST Application Template OMAC with its software pro-ject structures and functionalities and also understand the added value associated with this.

The training creates the basis for participants to independently extend their system knowledge within the scope of projects.

Prerequisite for attending this course:

Participation in the training PLC Designer Introduction

This training is aimed at persons from the fields of development, application, commissioning and service, who are keen to program with the PLC Designer and to use the object oriented programming.

The participants will gain basic knowledge of object oriented programming with the PLC Designer by usage of data structures defined by the user.

The “Inverter Drives 8400: Service” training is aimed at persons from the fields of operation, maintenance and servicing.

Objective

In this training course, participants will learn the basics of installing and servicing the Inverter Drives 8400. They will gain technical knowledge on

• Diagnostics and eliminating malfunctions (troubleshooting)

• Using the keypad, EASY Starter and additional service engineering tools

Training content

• Accessing parameters and exporting status information to the Inverter Drives 8400 using the keypad

• Diagnostics with the EASY Starter and Engineer software packages (device statuses, error responses, logbook, trend, data logger, oscilloscope)

• Commissioning specified user parameter settings • Steps for complete data backup

• Service case “Drive replacement”

• Useful information on installation and operation • Practical exercises on the training equipment

Servo Drives 9400

Target group: Machine operators and machine and system manufacturers

This training is aimed at persons from the fields of operation, maintenance and servicing.

In this training course, participants will learn the basics of how to install and service the Servo Drives 9400. They will gain technical knowledge on

Service & commissioning of the controllers 3200 C / c300/ p500 / p300 and the servo-inverter i700

Target group: Machine operators

This training is aimed at persons from the fields of commissioning and service.

Objective

In this training course, participants will learn the basics of installing, commissioning, operating and servic-ing the controllers, the servo-inverters i700 and the EtherCAT field bus.

They will gain the technical knowledge necessary for commissioning, parameter setting and eliminating faults on the systems.

Training content day 1 (Target group: Service & commissioning)

• Brief introduction of controller, servo-inverter and EtherCAT • Diagnostics and elimination of errors (focus Easy Starter) • Replacement and backup of the devices

• Practical exercises on the training equipment

Training content day 2 (Target group: Commissioning)

• Mounting and commissioning of the systems

• Parameterisation, optimisation and advanced diagnostics (focus PLC Designer) • Practical exercises on the training equipment

Service and General Training

Drive Solution Designer

Target group: Designers & project engineers for machinery and systems

Staff at manufacturers of machines/systems that work in the fields of development, project planning or general planning.

Objective

This training offers participants a detailed overview of the software’s functions. Participants will learn how to use the software and then be able to perform dimensioning autonomously for Lenze drive systems.

Equipment

The participants are requested to bring a suitable laptop with them to the training course (operating system: Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8, minimum 1 GB RAM)
