All this is due to the grace of God and the great value system inculcated by our parents. My father was a reputed scholar and professor of Hindi at Bhagalpur.
I got married to Sunita (MA, Bhagalpur University) in 1990. God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters - Bhavya (15 yrs) & Sharanya (11 yrs), and a lovely son: Tanay Tikshana (6 yrs). As a married couple, we had a humble beginning and had seen struggle early in life. Our parents had inculcated in us values of perseverance, faith, belief and patience. We always had it in us that we have to add value to the lives of others through our deeds and lead a life of significance. After completing my graduation in Mechanical Engineering, I did jobs in PSUs and also served in Indian Air Force for a short duration. My real achievement came in the form of cracking Civil Services Examination and joining Sales Tax Department
with Govt. of Bihar. As a senior Bureaucrat, I learnt the biggest lessons of professional life, and also understood, that despite having a good life, there was always a struggle.
I handled various positions of eminence and high responsibility and had developed a very good professional and personal circle but somewhere inside me, the real entrepreneur was not being satisfied and I was looking for a permanent solution. True success always seemed to be evading us.
It is said “Opportunities come very silently and Obstacles come with a bang”. When we were least expecting and least ready for a new venture, is only when this Amway business came into our lives through one of our distant relatives. In this world of competition everybody is running in a rat race, where one’s profit translates into someone else’s loss, whereas, this business worked on a completely different set of fundamentals such as “win-win” situation for all. We understood that this business is a huge ocean from which unlimited gifts and rewards could be fished out. And then, there was no looking back at all.
As we began building business, we faced a lot of challenges. Not everybody came
along, in fact some people doubted what we were doing, but we also had tremendous support from our near and dear ones. This business & hard work not only helped us turn into better individuals but also made us better team players and we were able to reach the Platinum & Emerald Pin.
Our real challenges came during our Diamondship, as I was transferred to a distant location,
and Sunita had to take care of all three children who were very young at that time, on her own. The situations looked very unfavourable and the odds high against us. However, nothing could deter and discourage us from our goals. I quit my high-profile Senior Bureaucrat job in 2011 turned into a full time entrepreneur.
